But in most pics, it looks similar to the Silver 160th model. I'd love to see a side by side to see how they compare.
One thing for sure -- the dial on the 60th Anniversary Carrera is "sunray" / brushed / metallic, and entirely different from "eggshell" (or matte / flat white).
Flower power. The space race. British music. The late 1960s marked a dizzying end to an era-defining decade. As the curtains came down, a new timepiece emerged from the avant-garde minds at Heuer. A timepiece that rode the wave of revolution. A timepiece that captured the imagination of watch collectors everywhere. It was humbly christened the Heuer Carrera reference 2447 SN. ‘S’ for ‘silver’ and ‘N’ for noir, or black. The second generation of Heuer Carreras, it came in two styles. One with silver dials and black subdials, the other with the inverse of that. Together the two came to be known as ‘panda’ and ‘reverse panda’. The 2447 SN was an understated thing of beauty. It offered better readability at a glance, and was crafted with clever little touches. With that, collectors said goodbye, swinging sixties. Hello, panda mania. Six decades on, we’re bringing back the panda with a limited edition model that’s inspired by it. We call it the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph 60th Anniversary Edition. We’ve taken everything that collectors love about the 2447 SN and reinterpreted it in a new way. 600 pieces. 6 decades. 1 iconic timepiece, reborn.
