That's good news for me. I'm still hunting for a good deal on the Monaco GPdH red / silver dial. So far the cheapest I've seen are fron Japaese dealers for around £ 4500. Willing to wait for some more time for the price to come below 4k to pick one up. That should complete my itch!!!

For sure, the show off factor of "no. 1" is still prevalent. You still have last year's green dial Monaco being sold in 7500 £ range.
Watchfinder have a green one at £6,400 in the ‘sale’ so I’d expect even the one they have listed at £7,600 would be doable at this price.

Shows how much I know. The £9,500 number one is reserved!

Clearly the Rolex and PP players are now "downgrading" to TH after the crypto crash

I think @abrod520's no. 1 of 250 Hodinkee x Carrera Dato just went up in value! 😁👍

Hah, we'll most likely never know 😉 I enjoy it too much to let it go!

I do think it's really cool of TAG to release #001 of their watches rather than hanging onto it for a museum or giving it to a VIP. Makes it that much more fun thinking it might be you!

Who? Seems they’re not much of an enthusiast if they just tossed it straight up on C24

Oh the Dato. Awww 😀

But no, I’m no VIP at all, that was a combination of luck and an awesome Boutique director!

Based on the transaction period of the watch, seems like the no. 001 Purple Monaco was bought by a UK buyer. Highly unlikely, but just hoping that whoever bought it would wear it rather than pop it in the safe.

Can’t believe 001 ended up in Solihull. I rang the AD to see if they were getting one in…never dreamed it would be numero uno!

Just came across a Purple Monaco getting actively auctioned on ebay, at $1705 right now with 4 days to go. Surely this will shoot up soon. It's no. 261, which would have been a good match with my no. 261 Monza 40th anniversary

Very interesting, eBay has become less popular for watch buying as they’ve jacked up their fees and begun charging taxes. Most watches I’ve kept alerts on are now so ridiculously overpriced on the platform it’s not worth even looking much of the time. But I’ll be very interested to see what this Purple Monaco brings.
