Just saw the profile. Wowza, massively thick, I alway assumed these were identical to the original.

Nah, pretty sure the 2892/DD is thicker than the orig. cal 11/12. Look at that thing, it's a monster 😵‍💫

My desire for one just evaporated, that's way too thick! 😲

What are your first impressions @Hubert?
This one is probably a future classic. It's very nice indeed. The bright white snow dial really pops and the vibrant blue accents remind me of the Siffert edition. It wears nicely, although the NATO could flow better with a set of curved spring bars.

Has anyone measured the exact lug width?

Aren't they always 20mm for a 42mm Carrera?

Depends on one's definition of silver. I call the case and hour markers silver. I suppose you could say the dial is a super light silver, but to me it's more of a sparkly white. Hubert described it as a "bright white snow dial".

Pictures could be misleading but that dial looks distinctly silver to me, especially the subdials.

Call it what you want. But the watch pays tribute to a famous Porsche that is clearly white with blue accents. So it would be silly if TAG made it silver & blue.

I'd say the dial has metallic flakes in its white, like a metallic white or a white mica. Gives it a silvery sparkle, but still a white.

The subdials have concentric circles, which adds more shadow. That's why that area looks darker and hence more silvery. But it really isn't.

It's here!

looks stunning! How does it feel on the wrist? Is the height an issue?

I am blown away by this watch, very very tempted to pull the trigger

Obviously I haven't seen the watch and as you say it would make more sense if it was white. Hubert has it in his hand so I guess he knows what colour it is. I'd like to see a photo of the watch next to another watch that has a white dial though...

Colour perception is tricky, I’m convinced my night diver has a white dial
