Morning,

Great to see the feedback overnight- and congrats to @Hubert for pushing the button on buying one. As I said in the article, I love all of the Glassbox watches- they're the perfect size for me, even if they're a little thicc.

I wore this watch for a couple of days (which is why I swapped the strap over) and never really worked out whether I liked the dial colour or loved it..I think I ended up more in the "like" column. Now, if this had the green-to-black dial of the Monaco, that would be a different story.

I'm not sure how much we can read into the "missing" reference number- if there was to be a gold or platinum model, you'd think it would be a chronometer and in precious metal, so it would probably look something like CBK501x. That's not a hint- just speculation!

Does anyone know what the box looks like? @Tavknack, @Stopthewatch, did yours come in a vintage inspired red box like the green Monaco? Or is it more like the 160th anniversary boxes? Or something completely different?

BTW, we do get missing ref numbers. For the Autavia Chrono, we had CBE2110, 2111, 2113, 2114, 2115, 2116, 2117, 2118...no CBE2112.

We'll never know for sure, but I believe that CBE2112 was an Indy 500 edition Autavia 😲

Yup the missing numbers remain a mystery and adds to the allure of collectors right? 😉 Interesting and would love to see the Indy500 Autavia CH02! 👍 That’s one right there for a great homage as the Racer’s Chronograph!

Great article sir DC @Calibre11 ! I’m also in the “like” side because it’s a 39mm glassbox 😉

I also wish I can get these coveted TAG Heuer / Heuer editions with just a push of a button like sir @Hubert 😁

I'd hazard a guess that those missing reference numbers might have been allocated internally to a prototype or combination that never ended up seeing the light of day.

Finally, the launch date is here and I can talk about this beautiful piece without being sushed 😁 I have collected my piece yesterday and I can maybe address some of the questions:

1) I asked the same question "What is the difference between Special Edition and Limited Edition" and "why is this one Special and not Limited" to the Boutique Manager and of course there isn't a definitive answer to this, what he said was a special edition is better than a limited edition... Yes, I know it doesn't mean much, it is what it is. Also, he added that this dial color will not be used in any other watch and there aren't going to be more watches produced, so once these 500 pieces are gone there is no more.

2) The box is the same as the previous 160th edition boxes without the loop. It only has the additional "Heuer Carrera Special Edition" writing on the box. See the photo:

3) And here is a sneak peek photo of the gorgeous green dial, as there will be much more photos to come once I have my custom straps...

Limited and Special are very confused in TAG Heuer world... my Senna WAZ1014 F1 box says 'limited edition' on it... pretty sure it doesn't say anything on the watch itself. And limited to what?

Congrats @Stopthewatch!!! Finally you could collect your prize! Great looking pair of Carreras! 👍

Thanks for answering the question about the box. It's interesting how only the Monaco Green got the red box. Perhaps that's going to be a thing just for watches connected with the Monaco Historique race.
