Yeah I know, it’s okay. Be Happy my friend 😀

We’ve all been beaten by the Glassbox bug 😁
I am happy, can't you tell? 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Yes, you and others have beaten me with the number of Glassbox Carreras bought. 🙄
I know you meant "bitten", that too. 😉

Mine has arrived!

First impressions.
- Much better than expected; the pictures I've seen so far, really don't do it justice.
- It is best when viewed from an angle (the less direct light reflection, the better; it becomes emerald and less teal)
- Due to the color contrast, the white markers are very legible.
- The clarity is stunning; much clearer than the silver (same clarity as the Dato).
- I liked it so much that I just ordered the Montreal to complete the Heuer-02 Glassbox series.

Pictures as requested for your enjoyment!

How much have you spent on glass box watches that you don't actually like due to the milky ring or whatever you call it?

The mind boggles!

Despite what I consider some shortcoming, I like the watches very much. I wouldn't buy them if I didn't! 😉

^ The Telemeter and the Fujiwara not so much. I've been considering selling those two, but haven't made-up my mind to do so, just yet.

Morning,

Great to see the feedback overnight- and congrats to @Hubert for pushing the button on buying one. As I said in the article, I love all of the Glassbox watches- they're the perfect size for me, even if they're a little thicc.

I wore this watch for a couple of days (which is why I swapped the strap over) and never really worked out whether I liked the dial colour or loved it..I think I ended up more in the "like" column. Now, if this had the green-to-black dial of the Monaco, that would be a different story.

I'm not sure how much we can read into the "missing" reference number- if there was to be a gold or platinum model, you'd think it would be a chronometer and in precious metal, so it would probably look something like CBK501x. That's not a hint- just speculation!

I’ve always taken your passionate criticism of the “milky ring” as a sign that you truly [want to] like the glassbox watches. If the series didn’t particularly appeal to you, I imagine you’d quickly dismiss it rather than spend so much effort pointing out the shortcomings.

Congrats @Hubert!!! Your pictures look amazing! 👍👍👍

BTW, how long did it take TAG Heuer to replace the dial on your Dato? I recall it was scratched, glad to see it back in your line up!

Don’t sell the Telemeter and Fujiwara sir @Hubert !

Just get the Skipper & Blue Dreamer to partner the Telemeter 👍

And you need the Fujiwara to complete the Alphabet! 😉

Congratulations!!! ::rimshot:: I firmly believe you are the No.1 Glassbox (closet) fan sir 😁

Thank you!! I got the Dato back around this date in April. It took roughly a month to get it back with a new dial (probably they had to produce it).

Thanks! Yes, that's a good reason to keep the Fujiwara. And given that the Telemeter is the origin of the species, it remains a good collectible.
