If people can't sell them, then you may be able to take one off their hands for what they paid in due course. Possibly worth phoning a boutique or an AD though, to see if they might be able to get you one still? Or have you tried that?

Thats a good idea. It seems the people on Chrono24 can't get the prices they expected.
I already called boutiques but there is no chance. Maybe its worth to wait some time and see if the prices will drop. But 500 pcs only...

14 for sale now on Chrono24. There are a couple advertised at or just above retail price, but it depends where you are located. One is in the US, one is in HK and the third is in Japan. Once you add import vat/duties, you might as well just spend the extra and get one closer to home. Remember these are asking prices, though. No way all of those are going to sell quickly at those prices, so always worth putting in a offer on one that's been up a while.

Charlie, Tim has one for sale for you

🥰

It's £6k, though, plus I'd have to pay 20-25% on top of that to import it, so thanks Jim, but I'll have to pass!

If anybody (preferably in the UK) wants to swap my silver Ice King for a teal, though, I'll happily do that deal and chuck in a small amount of cash on top. 😁

Thanks Rob, it's still an obscene amount for that watch though. There is one I've been tracking on eBay for £6000. It's been on there for months and months and hasn't sold. The owner was potentially up for a swap with my Ice King, but he wanted me to put in more cash on top than I was willing to commit.

Watchfnder will give you a two year warranty and no need to worry if it's genuine.... might be able to screw them down a bit more too I should have thought. But yes, I agree it's still a lot of money.

I wouldn't be able to screw them down to a level at which I'm comfortable. I really like the watch, but I'm not desperate. Also, the watch will be under manufacturer warranty for longer than the Watchfinder 2 years, and I have no problem in telling a fake one from a real one of these!

Just for anyone in the U.K. who’s interested, WF have one of these at £6,300 and you can have 10% off before midnight - so c. £5,700 or so.

bit late in the day, but you never know - someone might be interested. Code at checkout is SAVE10NOW apparently.

Thanks Steve. Maybe it's worth it for a rare piece, and maybe somebody will pay that much, but even with the discount it's still a bit too dear for me for that watch unfortunately.

I was very interested to see Watchfinder doing this over the weekend - it’s clear they have an awful lot of stock that has sat there for a long time and won’t shift. I’m predicting we’ll see some deep discounting over the coming months…

Yes, definitely they are hugely long stock that they can’t shift. Interesting today they are giving 4 years warranty on any watch sold before 20th dec too.
