Thanks Jim! It's a hard pick. Each one is unique. The Silver in bright light is stunning. The snow white dial of the Montreal really pops. The dark abyss of the Dato pulls you in like a black hole. And the emerald green of the latest makes you feel you're in the City of Oz.
Nice politically neutral answer.
I'm in the camp of Black Dials Matter, it's where us cool cats hang
What are you talking about, he clearly stated the silver is the best.
There is always room for one more in our church, its not too late to save that soul of yours 😉
He said "The Silver in bright light is stunning", which implies without the bright light, not so much. 😗
I think you are putting words in his mouth. What he meant was that when you handle the silver, your life is always full of bright shining light and the dial is always the most stunning.
LOL. I'm putting words in his mouth? 🙄
Anywho, I'll gladly join you in that Silver church, as soon as they make that Silver panda I've been waiting for. 😁
Oh yeah baby, maybe that should be what I save up for too. Plenty of time to save up until 2023
2022 would make more sense with old Jack turning 90.
Isn't 23 the 60 year anniversary of the Carrera though. Not sure which anniversary is the biggest and will draw most attention and sales to the brand. We will probably see two killer glassbox models released for both anniversaries anyhow so life will be good for all 😀
We haven't had a red glassbox Carrera yet. Or one in Jack's preferred colour scheme (silver dial/red second counter, i.e. like the JH80th). Or maybe they'll do one in gold for Jack?
Yellow gold with champagne dial would be insanely sexy
Looks like more than a few of the 500 teal Carreras ended up in the hands of flippers. I see 12 for sale now on Chrono24, all at above RRP!
There are also 11 Hodinkee Datos. 11 Montreals. 18 Ice Kings. (A lot below RRP though).
