Finally got to see the new model in person today. They only had the blue version, it was very very underwhelming. They also had a previous gen blue with yellow accents which really popped and looked a lot more premium and luxurious compared to the new one. I would have wanted to see the new in silver, surely that one is a lot nicer. My conclusion was that the new model is perfect for those who want something flying under the radar without the wow factor. Personally I'll go back to daydreaming about the previous gen.

I personally think the new case is excellent, the dials a bit less so. Which is why I'm looking forward to seeing the 844 Edition in person, since it doesn't have the shiny and super busy lined dial.

Picked up my 844 today, as I expected the dial works better without the fussy polished horizontal lines of the others. Still wish it was no-date though. And the funny thing is, even though it's titanium it isn't all that lightweight - I guess Grade 5 is heavier than Grade 2. Supposed to be stronger, though, so that's cool.

The box has a cool design touch too, quite liked that!

Wishlist items though are that I think it would have been a lot cooler with a unique bezel insert design and a cathedral design on the hour hand, to tie it in closer.

Congrats again Adam! Lucky you haven't sold the original yet, they look cool as a pair 😉

Have to say, the new one looks better than expected in your photos. Kind of want one now!

Strap is not original right?

Nope, this is a Tropic I had. Lug width remains 22mm.

The strap is all right (I'm personally not a black strap person) but must be cut to length, which I preferred not to do as I don't think I'll be wearing it much. The micro-adjust clasp is cool, but it's inexplicably made of stainless steel instead of titanium like the case 😕

Ok thanks, clasp looks good but yes odd that its steel. Agree that rubber straps you need to cut for fit is not ideal.

I didn't know this / must've missed it in the specs but the 844 bezel is lumed which is pretty cool!

Congrats sir @abrod520 !! I like the new gen Aquaracer actually. Alot of things have changed into the design elements and to the right direction 👍

I might settle with the Night Diver vs the 844 but both scores high to me 😀

Looks great. Unfortunately too big for me, but I love the way it looks.

So the 844 has a lumed biiizel but the night diver does not? 😒😁
