·..but the 844 HAD a date, a very nicely placed unmagnified one at 3 o'clock. Ok ok I know this is just a 'homage'.
I guess no date is actually preferable to the rather contentious execution of the square/round magnified 6 o'clock thing. (Choice of relevant emojis)🤨😵💫😒
The date itself I can live with (still prob wouldn't buy it), it's the cyclops that takes it from "wish it wasn't there" to "ruins the thing"

·Hmm - not sure about the new AR. This series is one of my favorites (maybe because of my history with my 2000 being my first watch), but I prefer a smaller (41 mm) size. Is there any lume on the bezel? Doesn't look like it.
The Omega SMP looks far better to my eye. I know it's not for everyone, particularly the SMP bracelet. But to me the SMP looks like a higher quality watch - which it should for the price. Maybe the AR will grow on my more...

Someone shared a lume shot earlier, the numbers on the bezel are lumed, looks good
