My wrist size is 17cm. I am assuming that is your wrist in the review, what size is yours?

Nice pictures and review @Calibre11 - your pictures do make the watch more enticing than the renders I have seen posted today.

I like the matte finish as it's different and the more subdued green. But I'm not into greens, so I'd easily pick the Bamford.

Now the Bamford vs. the 844 homage would be the tougher question for me. However it's moot, because 43mm is too large and I don't love either enough to overlook the size.

Yes! 😁 I just wanted a comparison of two similar looking models.

I think this new release has just made me realize even more how much I love the design of the previous generation. There is not one thing I prefer on the new ones. Will keep an eye open for a good deal on a 41mm model when dealers start clearing stock of the old models 👍

100% YES. It's just such a stronger logo. The TH logo gets weaker the smaller it gets. Looks good on a hood of a car, but not good when just a few mm wide.

I would have also preferred 41mm to 43mm...but I have it on my wrist right now and it definitely doesn't feel too big (I don't usually like any larger than 41mm). Worth a try to see if it works for you.

In your photo of the 844 it looks more like a 41mm anyway...

When I saw the renders, I didn't like the hour markers- they kind of look like diamonds. on the wrist, I have to say that they look like round hour markers. Unless you get out your loupe, you won't notice they actually are12-sided

Ah, that's good, this is the benefit of having 'hands on experience' with these pieces... so that's one less thing to dislike.

Too many different design elements going on in the newer Aquaracers. I think they're a bit of a mess to be honest.

It feels like they have lost some of the unique aquaracer DNA - the shaping on the bezel, the hour markers - and shifted towards more generic fauxlex dive watch features.

I particularly dislike the shape of the markers, I think the previous AR with round makers was better executed, and the cyclops is hideous. No date AR would have been better.

probably would've been got by the 844 had they just left the cyclops off (really should have been a no-date though IMO)
..but the 844 HAD a date, a very nicely placed unmagnified one at 3 o'clock. Ok ok I know this is just a 'homage'.

I guess no date is actually preferable to the rather contentious execution of the square/round magnified 6 o'clock thing. (Choice of relevant emojis) ::facepalm1::🤨😵‍💫😒

Good thing the 40mm wont have the cyclops, just nice looking date at 6

I just noticed the silver watch you photographed seems to have polished metal hour markers whereas in the official TH photos it has black markers. Might be the light in your photos.

You are right, maybe the feedback for the round cyclops will be so good they decide to change and add it to the smaller version too 👍
