Thanks Albert, I hope you can tell in advance where and what reason to move the post in the future after your action. Thank you so much!
You were supposed to have received that information from the Moderation system. I wrote there the explanation when I moved the post, in order to inform you. I’m sorry but it seems the Moderation system didn’t send the message to you 😕

Hi - I am hoping that someone can point me to a post or discussion that details the differences between the Connected generations and the model numbers to tell them apart? I am considering buying a used Connected.
Hi Robert!

After your question, I thought it would be useful to create a new thread about that. You will find it here:

Would the E4 bands 45mm work on the E3 45mm? I can't seem to find a simple black rubber replacement band for the E3 Connected watch and it's very frustrating. I'm only finding E4 bands on the Tag website and I suppose they want me to buy a new watch instead of a new band.

E3 bands fit the E4 but not perfectly.
Slight rubbing between the Strap and case.
Your only option is to find a pre owned E3 or get the E4 new and just live with the slight rubbing.

Anyone know if there is a way to increase sensitivity to "tilt to wake" (E3)
It takes aprox 1-1.5 seconds to wake after tilt.

I´ve just got a TAG CONNECT G3, as a present from my brother, I was so happy to have a new TAG, and a Smart one.... but first day of use... battery lasted no more than a day... I Felt as if i had boiught a Caddilac with a 5 gl fuel tank. I know this watch is tought to be used to impress chicks or inlaws... but not even a day is ridiculus.

Well I’m a little late to the party but I’m a fast learner… after receiving my new E3 Saturday, I’d already looked at possible stand solutions… I had a spare Apple Watch Stand so quickly designed up a little Adaptor block and 3D printed one….

Not bad for the first attempt… I’ll probably post a few more pics and look at some different standard to use but pretty happy at my first one……

Hi All,

I was a little concerned about the best way to charge my new E3 connect reading other posts there’s a lot of people mentioning overnight is bad as it reduces the battery life and can cause burn in on the screen….

So I decided to speak to the Tag Store I purchased the watch from who in turn contacted the Connect specialist at Tag Head Office who came back with charging over night is recommended and you will not get any burn in to the screen.

“I have just spoken to my connected specialist at head office and they have stated that they recommend the watch is charged overnight. So please do not worry about doing this as it will not cause the screen to leave a burn mark.”

That said I’ve been thinking about reducing any risk and have now purchased a smart plug so will set the charger to come on 3-4 hours before I wake up… also currently I keep the phone in cinema mode when charging so screen and all notifications are turned off anyway.

Oh and I love the E3 but I’m now addicted to the amazing faces on the the face thread here lol…..

Not, on the contrary:

TAG Heuer took care of Gen1 and Gen2 owners, offering us different “Connected to Eternity” programs to beat obsolescence:

Gen1: after two years of use, you could take advantage of the exchange program, receiving a new Carrera Calibre 5 for a much lower price than usual

Gen2: the Modular system allows any Gen2 Modular owner to buy a Calibre 5, Calibre 16 -or even a Heuer 02 Tourbillon!- Carrera mechanical modules at much less money than a complete standard Carrera, so you have a mechanical Carrera at very good price and you can keep enjoying your collection of straps, lugs, buckles, and bracelets even when the smartwatch module becomes obsolete

Gen3 owners have not been so well cared by TAG Heuer, because being more expensive than ever, Gen3 has no “Connected to Eternity” program, so all the investment will be lost when it becomes obsolete, and there’s no advantageous program to upgrade it for a mechanical watch either

So being a Gen2 M45 owner I’m not angry at all with TH, because the Modular system is brilliant to keep the investment. I would be happier if it were possible to just upgrade the smartwatch module, but it’s nothing serious, because my Gen2 M45 is running better than ever after last Wear OS updates. So don’t worry, and if you don’t want to buy the Gen3, just enjoy your Gen2! 😉

This "Connected to Eternity" concept was a dumb bag... Tag Heuer (post- Biver) understood that people looking for a more luxury smartwatch would be looking at a newer version as technology evolves (every 2 years or so...). Customers who are willing to boost a 2000$ on a TH smartwatch, don't really care being able to re-use their straps on a mechanical module and giving up on connectivity ! Once the connected module gets outdated, they would be looking at an updated one with Snapdragon 3100, end then 4100, 5100 etc.
Tag should have kept the same fixing system on the E3/E4 (even changing the watch design) so that the Connected to Eternity concept wouldn't die. Using a mechanical module means people are not "Connected" anymore sadly.
And if some of them are also fond of mechanical watches, they would carry other TH watches like you do ;-)

Has anyone used a sport application provided by Tag Heuer to track sport sessions? If so, any discrepancies between heart rate have been noticed? I mean in my case they are about 30% lower than using Apple or Polar.
I impress that readings are not so frequent due to saving battery life. Therefore average hr is also lower - e.g. 1 hour session - TH: 100, Apple: 135).
Basically these sports functions seem to be just present but for real tracking I need to use another solutions.
I’m looking forward to your feedback.

Piotr
