Hopefully they will offer the band separately.
The straps from the Special Editions -like this one- are not sold separately... at least until now it has been like this

When you are the owner of one of these Special Editions, maybe you can order the special strap as a replacement in your AD, but it is not easy either

Also they modified the case design, mine has a little hole on the left side of the case, the new pictures on the website do not have this little hole.

The price is still very low compared to what the straps cost for the Gen1 and Gen2. The rubber strap for the Modular 45 costs 110 Euro, but without the buckle. So 150 Euro for the Gen3 rubber strap that includes the steel buckle is very reasonable 馃憤... or look at the prices of the new Hublot smartwatch rubber straps: 445 Euro! 馃槻

What is not understood is that they do not offer to sell the straps with a black titanium buckle for customers of the black titanium Connected, although at least now the black titanium buckle is already offered as a separate accessory at 100 Euro, which is also very reasonable compared to the 275 Euro that the black titanium buckle costs for the Modular 45, even if it includes the quick disassembly system

Yes at least on the pictures, maybe is that way on them.
Probably someone playing with Photoshop thought that hole was unsightly for promotional images 馃槈

It looks very nice 馃憤, but I cannot understand that, being made in China, at 2400 Euro it costs 500 Euro more than the previous Swiss Made Connected Modular 45 Golf Edition model (launched in 2019), which is also in black titanium, also with two straps, with even a better box and with a white leather strap instead of white rubber strap for the 2020 model

The rubber bands went way up in price, but they actually dropped the price of the steel band considerably. It was $490 and now is listed at $360.00. I have all the rubber bands and the only reason I didn't get the steel band is that I want to order it through a local store to support it and allow me to get it sized properly. I know I can buy it online and bring it in to a TH store for a free sizing, but that doesn't sit well with me.

Comparing straps and buckles prices of the Made in China Gen3 vs the Swiss Made Gen2 Modular 45:

Gen3 rubber strap with steel buckle: 150 Euro
Gen2 M45 rubber strap without buckle: 110 Euro

Gen3 black titanium buckle: 100 Euro
Gen2 M45 black titanium buckle (with quick release system): 275 Euro

Gen3 steel bracelet (340 Euro) is also much more cheaper than Gen2 M45 titanium bracelet (745 Euro) and than Gen2 M45 black ceramic bracelet (930 Euro), but they are different materials, so we can鈥檛 compare them so well.

The explanation that Gen3 buckles and straps are considerably cheaper than of the previous Gen2 (and that of the rest of the TAG Heuer range) may be that they are probably the only ones Made in China, while all the rest of TAG Heuer watches, to comply with the Swiss Made regulations, are fitted with Swiss buckles and straps

So not in the price of the watch, but at least in the price of the accessories, there seems to be a price advantage for customers due to the fact that Gen3 is Made in China instead of Swiss Made

Because manufacturing costs for premium products have bugger all to do with retail prices.

At least it seems that in the Gen3 accessories, the fact of being Made in China has been noticed in a reduction in the retail price

The retail price is merely what the seller thinks is the price that people will be willing to pay, and it will be as high as they believe they can get away with - ie that will sell enough items to keep them in the profit levels to which they have become accustomed.
The manufacturing costs will be as low as is possible for the same reasons.....

The only relationship between the two is one of very careful distancing - too far apart and the relationship breaks down altogether, too close and the the relationship is unsustainable. A bit like marriage....

I would make it slightly clearer -- swiss made means casing and buckle only.

100 was too cheap for what you get. I got mine for 70 when I ordered the same time as the watch (launch day). Very disappointed with wear OS and China made, but the straps are the best in the smartwatch game.
