Thanks Anthony & Albert, if it’s not possible to change the DATE order direct from the TAG TIMEKEEPER watch face it’s a huge mistake from TAG. it’s the year 2020 and this is a Smartwatch NOT a Dumbwatch but looks like TAG has made it slightly Dumb. I’ve had plenty vintage Dumbwatches that you were able to change the Date order to suit the Country you are from.
I’m not into creating watchfaces, but appreciate your advice and the option if I decide to explore the watch faces app. Wouldn’t the non TAG faces via the watchface app use more battery ?
Thanks again

I'm in the UK & it's day, month & year on my watch.

Yes of course, but it’s much more fun! 😉

With the WatchMaker app you can install hundreds of different faces already designed (so you don’t need to create any new face, just download the already existing faces that you like), and moreover you can enjoy a much better dimmed mode AOD than with the factory installed TH faces. Battery consumption is higher, but it should be enough if you charge the watch daily.

Anyway, if date is Day/Month/Year in Spanish for @Ninja1400 and also in UK English for @Kboy1983 ... it’s strange your watch is Month/Day/Year even in UK English 😕

Are you using 24h format, or AM/PM?

Wanted to share some cool 3d prints for the connected watch stand. These were made to the connected 45 but I also printed a connected 41 to Apple Watch Stand adapter and then put the connected 2020 into the middle of the adapter with some hot glue and attached it to an apple watch. Came out gorgeous. (and free).

Looks great and versatile being able to use that adaptor with Apple Watch stands.

I also started making a stand with different types of wood but not finished yet.

My Month/Day/Year issue with the Timekeeping Face is still going 🙁 I tried everything to turn it to Day/Month/Year.......
Looks like many here have what I'm trying to get > Day/Month/Year, at least now I know it can be done, so I will continue until I work it out 😀

Albert-AMG, I'm using AM-PM not 24hr Time, I also thought this might have been the problem.
I'm going to contact TAG and hopefully get an answer

Probably AM-PM goes together with Month/Day/Year order, and if you change to 24h format, you will have Day/Month/Year

I tried this many times over the last few weeks, every possible ways in settings, nothing works.

Half hour ago I reset the watch again to factory default and also deleted wear os and the Tag app for my iPhone and re-installed everything again. Didn’t give me the option for D/M/Y

To my horror I now also lost all my months worth of Tag tracked sessions, I had about 20 sessions and now it shows nothing, I remember having under the settings in the TAG app my sports sessions allowed to synchronize from my watch to the Tag servers but after re-installing the Tag app under sports it shows nothing 🙁

Now I know why I used Apple and Garmin, they pretty much worked flawlessly.

Thanks for your help and replies, I’m over all this hassle

I reset my watch once and didn't loose any fitness activity, was still saved on the TAG phone app. I understand your frustrations with all this. The gen 3 shouldn't have been released in this state, but unfortunately this is what companies do now. Release an unfinished product, take people's money, and if your lucky fix some issues with software patches. Look at the video game industry, filled with stuff like this. Very sad.

I gave permissions in the Tag App to synchronize the exercise to Apple Health and Strava and not lose the data
I have a Garmin Fenix to run with it and have issues: need to restore to connect with the phone. One time, after a marathon, loose the data of the run .
With the Apple Watch, need to restore 2 times to upload music.

I think that all the companies have problems.

The first time I re-set the watch I didn’t loose my fitness activity’s but I think this time I did because I re-set the watch and deleted the Tag app at the same time ? Tag stated that the activities are stored on a server so I should have access to my activities once I re-installed the Tag app, but not so. The watch should not rely on the phone app when our fitness activities are on the Tag server.
I remember the early days with Garmin they also had software with bugs and they too took our money so you are right, they love us gadget freaks and our money 😀

Since I bought the tag gen3 I too gave permission to sync to strava. My activities from my gen3 are still on strava even though I deleted and re-installed it as well. But strava re-loaded all my activities unlike the Tag app. If TAG said they store on a server I should have access to it for the $2950 AUD I gave them.
You are right they all have problems but like TAG GUY said, they have more interest in our money.
If TAG looks at themselves as 160 years of history in sports timing they certainly haven’t shown that in the year 2020. Even though they call the watch Connected 2020.
I am pissed off but will get over it in a few days 😀 Life isn’t just Watches........

Enjoy the watch. Maybe the software has things to do better, but I think that has some different: it’s prettier than the apple watch and fenix 5

Correct, it’s the reason I bought the Tag. I’m still enjoying it even with some issues

I think I figured it out. AOD brightness is determined by the auto brightness sensor. Idk if mine is physically damaged or the software is bad, but unless outside, it always goes to "1" brightness, which in turn kills the AOD and makes it near unreadable inside during the day. If I change the setting from auto to 3, the screen is decently bright, and the AOD is also bright. The sensor works as if I shine a flashlight on the watch the screen the AOD go to "5" brightness. Seems like a glitch in the software. I seem to remember the 45 having a similar issue back in 2018

How does the Gen2 work in terms of AOD?

To me, it appears the auto brightness only applies to the main display & the AOD then is set according to the last auto setting of main display.

Does the Gen2 work differently?

In my Gen2 Modular 45, Auto brightness AOD works in both bright and dimmed modes:

When watch moves from bright mode to dimmed mode, the initial Auto brightness setting depends on last Auto brightness setting for bright mode, but if the ambient light condition changes, after around 30 seconds in dimmed mode keeping same initial setting, the Auto brightness adapts the bright to the new ambient light condition. So the ambient light sensor is working in both modes: bright and dim, when you have AOD on and Auto brightness on.

It seems like it’s checking the ambient light condition every 30 seconds, and adapting the bright of the screen in accordance, even when it remains in dimmed mode

These are two pictures AOD on, Auto brightness on, in dimmed mode, and different ambient light conditions

So with your Gen2, if you had tilt to wake turned off, the AOD brightness would adapt to the ambient light conditions automatically?

The Gen3 definitely doesn't do that

Yes, although it takes around 30 seconds to adapt to a different ambient light condition when it’s AOD in dim mode. So I guess the sensor is checking ambient light about every 30 seconds, and if it detects a change in the ambient light intensity, then it adjusts the screen brightness again

@Kboy1983 , I made this video to show how it works Gen2 M45 with AOD on and Automatic bright on

First the screen moves from bright mode to dimmed mode, and then I switch on the flash light of the camera. When the time minute changes, the ambient light sensor awakes and adapts the brightness to the new ambient light.
At the end of the video I move the wrist to put the screen in bright mode again

Awesome, thanks @Albert-AMG!!

The Gen3 definitely doesn't do that!

Only exception is that the timekeeper face & Heuer 01c face work with power saver tilt. Only issue with that is the Timekeeper AOD design is rubbish & I really don't like the heuer 01c face. Really don't get why they couldn't just keep it same as the Gen2!!
