I'm really hoping for a Heuer 02 based successor to the CAW211P as well. 馃榾
The only reason I can see TH not doing it is if for some reason the Heuer 02 can't be made to easily work with a left-side crown. 馃

It could be tricky unless they thought of it during the development phase.

The Calibre 11/12 is easy because they are modular and they just rotated the base, time-only movement by 180 degrees before attaching the chronograph module.

You could be right. I found this pic on instagram, it's the second photo in this post from the London Launch event of the H02 Monaco & C12 Final Edition. https://www.instagram.com/p/B4itKG7JB6A/

"...To facilitate this movement within the watch, not only did the case interior have to be re-engineered, but the crown had to be placed on the left side of the case due to the movements construction."

I think "left" must have been a typo, as obviously the crown is on the right. I'm confused by the statement, but it worries me that this movement may not lend itself to a left side crown. Thoughts? 馃

I don't see why they would. If it's this thick and with a rounded crystal, what's the point anyway. The CAW211p is the nicer Monaco and that one is already thick. We don't need the H02 in every watch.

I want to see a Monaco skeleton tourbillon, just like I (jokingly) predicted about three years ago.

The point is, it will just be odd moving forward to have the right side crown Monaco with the H02 and the left side crown "heritage" Monaco without. In general, many would expect the H02 movement (which is perceived as better) in both versions as the line moves on into the future.

I popped into a local Goldsmiths who mainly deal in TH, I asked about this new watch but the staff knew nothing about it, I had to pick it out of the 2020 book in the shop to make them aware, offered to order it in if I was to pay a deposit. Sales training and product knowledge anyone?

Well with all the recent attention to the Monoco line, it seams that there has been a Monoco for everyone albeit limited in numbers. The CAW211A/P layout speaks to me. If I were to go avant-garde, the next one for me would be a rare metal with in-house movement, possibly tourbillon if that ever happens. I鈥檒l have a spot in my account for such a time piece.

This being a H02 Monoco thread, I like the idea of its existence and think it鈥檚 well executed. Sure to be a collectible. Does anyone have pics of the presentation box?

According to Hodinkee "It was in retrospect only a matter of time before the movement saw adoption by TAG Heuer outside the Autavia line, and today they've announced that it will henceforward be the movement present in all Monaco watches"

Do we believe that? I'm not so sure. They make no mention of reconfiguring it for a left hand crown and I don't believe for a second TAG Heuer are going to give up on the left hand winder. If they'd have said all TAG Heuer branded Monacos, then that I would believe. I mean think about it, the whole 'Calibre 11' thing is such a defining characteristic of the Heuer Monaco that it even transcends that fact that it's actually a Sellita 300... I think it would be harder to sell a reworked Heuer02 as a Calibre 11 than the Sellita, especially if you have two Monacos with display backs and you're trying to convince the buyer that this one is a Heuer 02 and this one is a Calibre 11 even though they look pretty much the same.

I dont know what to believe but I would guess (and hope) that they will find a way to modify the H02 into a C11

In these photos the blue looks dark and rich, I like it.

Saw this today in Oxford Street. Very nice, lovely blue dial and strap... also saw the Cal12 Final Edition, which is nice but didn't blow me away if I'm honest...

I saw both this and the Cal 12 Final Edition in the Chelmsford boutique, the blue looks really nice as always so much better when you see it in the metal. The final edition was also nice but agree with Aquagraph

It comes in the newest style TH box. (Pic credit from a new owner on facebook)

If the hour markers would have been vintage style flat it would be the perfect piece for my taste. As I have a Kirium, Carrera and a Speedy A11 not looking to expand with a third Tag before I match the count with the A13. Don't hate me for my OCD.

When i saw this pic, it immediately reminded me how closely it resembles the Black McQueen Calibre12! 馃槑
(without the chronograph and red print text Calibre 12)

The dial of the Monaco CH02 has a very dark blue shade almost black in some angles/lighting 馃槈 Just sharing, Cheers!
