Visited an AD in Stockholm today but they did not have the H02 Monaco in stock

Went and got to try the new Monaco. Just as Aquagraph wrote, the ADs seems to have gotten them a few weeks earlier but was of course under strict embargo to not reveal anything until this morning (at least for the Netherlands).
I was not a big fan of the sunburst dial on the earlier Calibre12 reference and the running second's hand bugged me a little bit on the photos. After have spent almost half an hour with the watch I am converted. The dial shades beautifully from a clear blue dial to an almost black, dark blue colour. I'm not entirely convinced about the small second's hand, but it was actually quite nice to have something moving on the dial.

All this, in combination with the H2 movement visible on the back did convince me a little bit; if/when I'm getting a Monaco I want this!
Congrats @Lugduno!

F*** me that is THICCC
Hard to tell how much thicker it is or if its really thicker to me, at least in photos. I'd like to know the actual size of the thickness too.

Heuer 02 on top, Calibre 12 on the bottom.

Looks so much better with the crown aligned on the same level as the pushers

Notice that the new crystal has "softer" edges.

Nice, looks like you were at van willegen?
Wow, I can tell someone else has also spent way to much time in this great store!
Awesome, thanks for sharing your thoughts and photos @Lugduno

The H02 Monaco would comlement your Autavia very well and make a great couple. I hope your Panerai-curiosity has passed now and you realized that Monaco is the way to go or did your visit to the Paneristi world meetup take you further in the wrong direction? 😉
It's strange, I always thought the Monaco was just on the edge on being too big for me. Sure it's big, bit it didn't feel to crazy on the wrist when I tried it on. Given the Panerai situation, well, let's not talk about that... 😉

Not much at all, they are great for sure but you would remember the store that sold you the Calibre 360. I was also on the list there for the Omega speedmaster A11 50SS but declined after it came through somewhere else quicker. Maybe the A13 next year with them.

Good to hear that you got the A11 50SS quicker, it seems to be a great watch! The staff has always been super nice to me and especially one of them is always eager to have a watch chat with me, a decent indicator for what stores I prefer to visit! Great to hear that there are some locals on the forum as well!

Always liked the Monaco but not actually full on fallen for it yet, maybe this one could tip me over.🍿

It's no thicker than the Calibre 11/12 models is it?
Not 100% sure. TAG Heuer said to me that it was the same case- but maybe the back plate is marginally thicker? Either way, I suspect that if its any thicker, we are talking tiny increments

It's exciting they're moving the Heuer 02 movement into the Monaco. But I just have never warmed to this dial version, with the radial indices.

To the insiders here, any idea if we'll see this 12 hour chrono layout come to the classic Heuer dial version? Because THAT is what would get my money.

Given TAG Heuer went to all that trouble to make a two-register Heuer 02 movement for the Autavia LE, it would seem to make sense to expand the family- we have a tourbillon, 2 and 3 register...and the Nanograph. Don't see any reason why it wouldn't make sense to make a "new new" Calibre 11, this time based on the Heuer 02

I'm really hoping for a Heuer 02 based successor to the CAW211P as well. 😀
The only reason I can see TH not doing it is if for some reason the Heuer 02 can't be made to easily work with a left-side crown. 🤔
