What’s the thinking behind a 3 hand Autavia? Really wish they’d released it as a line of new chronographs!

The positioning of autavia as an 'adventurers watch' is very clever in my view and allows diver, pilot/bund and chrono versions in future within a coherent brand framework. Of course we already have some chrono autavia.

I said in an earlier post the aim with the 3 handers, must surely to be to have versions that can take on the black bay - whilst complementing the higher priced chronos at the top end of the range

Will be very interested to see what versions are revealed tomorrow - and what movement(s) are used.

I have had a peek at some 'leaked' images and what I see is very positive, in terms of heritage cues with a twist.....looking forward to tomorrow's reveal!

Today is the day..looking forward to showing everyone the new Autavia. To set expectations, you may be used to Baselworld being the place where TAG Heuer launches half a dozen new models. I can tell you that at this stage, I have only written one article...with another to follow at a later date, because it's more an enhancement to an existing model.

So think quality, not quantity! :)

Oh, that's a shame, I was hoping for the usual 3 crazy quartz Aquaracers... Camouflage, etc...

Tudor just presented the bronze BB with arabic numerals at 3, 6 and 9. At 42mm for 3.830 euro. Pretty neat

Is Ariel wearing pants this year?

Thankfully, yes. I guess the show is smaller so he's got more time - he certainly looks a lot less stressed!

Yema just announced the Ralley ‘Andretti’ endorsed by the legend. Can’t believe this ::censored:: How did Tag Heuer let this one slip?

I would have very much liked to see this as a re-edition : 8D721263-91EF-467D-B3F8-8C7EC81DA404.jpeg

‘This is a beautiful watch’ he said during the Hodinkee interview.

I wonder if Andretti has an exclusivity deal?

With the new Isograph hairspring and the relaunch of the Autavia as a fully-fledged member of the collection I think there are so many awesome combinations possible in the future. The use of numerals around the dial and bronze is also paving new terrain. I am sure we can expect a lot of very decent watches in the future.
The new Autavia has also earned but positive reviews in the media (contrary to some views in the forum), which I have never experienced before since I am following the brand. This is very reassuring.:)
