For the 1st time I think the bracelet version looks better than the leather strap. This version will definitively be my choice #1

Have to say that I thought the tan strap was an odd choice to use for the unveil. The Autavia was never available on a tan strap and it looked a little "aftermarket" to me. I'm surprised that the black leather strap has a pin/ buckle...it's been years since a non-Gold watch was offered with this rather than a deployant. Maybe back to the re-editions of the 1990s?

And yes, I agree with @friendharry that the bracelet will be the one that I go for

Do you know for sure that the leather strap will have a pin buckle in the production model?

If so, then I will go with my first choice, the grains of rice bracelet.

I would strongly prefer a deployant clasp, rather than pin buckle, on a strap. I believe the 2016 Monza and 2015 Carrera Telemeter, both "vintage"-style pieces, have a deployant clasp on their straps.

Exactly. Keep the current deployant strap; no need for regression on this front.

I'd prefer a tang buckle rather than a deployant. Better for vintage style.
And this Autavia 2017 might also be the begining of a Autavia line 😉
Let's see ... may be surprises coming in March 😉

Yes, sounds like we'll be seeing two versions of the Autavia- a standard model and a Jack Heuer 85th Birthday model, which I'd guess will have a different dial (Silver?)

Silver would be lovely; hope you're clairvoyant. 😉

you're close to be right 😉
Interesting; seems like you have seen the designs and/or the prototypes.

Silver would be lovely, but white would be right
Either way; count me in!

Forgive me if this was covered and I know orginally the date was sideways because they rushed it for the reveal. But given the offical shots will the date still be sideways?

Ignore the mis-alignment on the 'prototype'. Rest assured, the date will be aligned correctly on the production version next year.

Here's a screenshot of the video I posted above. Do these lugs look straighter (without the curvature of the original prototype) to you? To me they do.

Small update- looks like this is now the Autavia Heuer-02. Price in Europe: EUR4,600 (not sure if that is the strap or bracelet)
