Now that I have my new Autavia, does anyone know what the setting I would put on winder for the new 02 movement?

I have my winders set bi-directional. Does yours also have a way to configure the number of revolutions?

I can't remember the number of revolutions I set. Only one of mine supports programming the turn-count; the rest don't.

Try one of the starting options and go from there. If you see it is insufficient to keep it running, then raise the setting.

Start around that number and measure it from there. The automatic movement has overwinding protection, but they say it's still preferable not to overdo it, if you can avoid it. Cheers!

In case anyone wants to know..... this is the answer I got from TAG support for the new Heuer 02 movement....

“The recommended winder settings for your timepiece would be 650 to 800 rotations per day, bi-directional. Keep in mind, before placing your timepiece in a winder it should be fully wound for optimal performance.”

Cheers

Hi all. My frst post! Got to say, found a lot of the advice and thoughts on the various threads on this site really helpful.

I've recently purchased the Autavia JH 85th Birthday Limited Edition which I'm really happy with but struggled to find any details for the winding parameters for the Heuer 02 movement even on great sites like the link kindly posted above.

The retailer I purchased the watch from got this from Tag UK if this helps:

"The Autavia Heuer 2 movement requires 1000 TPD (turns per day) on a watch winder. The movement can be both clockwise and anticlockwise to allow for sufficient winding. When hand winding the movement please wind clockwise only for 30-40 winds."

That's a lot of TPD but I note that advice differs from what mfriend was given from Tag Support. I can play around with the watch winder settings and see what happens. Will let you know
