I rarely change straps, but I see why many do. It completely changes the look! 😁

Yes, but you can decrease the quality/size of the photos without darkening them and without losing vivacity… 😕

Depends on what software is being used by the forum software for reducing the image size, and what settings its using.

If a photo uploaded is, say, 3000x2000 pixels (which is not huge these days, that's approximately a 3Mb image, a modern smartphone camera creates images of approximately 12Mb), and is being reduced to 640x480 for display purposes, that's a big loss in overall image quality.
