Still trying to get a pic that really captures how the patina is playing out on this one. The dull and shiny at same time just doesn’t quite translate to a photo. In pics it looks either dark or shiny; in reality it is both. This pic gets close; annoyingly it was taken in a toilet haha

fantastic watch and after a few weeks on the wrist I’d challenge anyone to put a 58 on and not love how it feels. I suspect the Pelagos 39 will have a similar effect when worn

Rob actually did try on a 58 and hated it…oh right that was a regular black bay.

I do love the 58 on the wrist, it wears so well I forget its there and looks fantastic

Was thinking the exact same thing 😁

You hear that Rob, get yourself to da ad and try an actual 58 this time

Won't matter. Rob's mindset is to be anti anything popular on this forum, he'd rather be unique in his taste. 🙄

Both me & my little one still rockin this combo.

She did say to my last night, "Can I take my watch off for bed daddy, then put it on in the morning, just like you do, I want to be just like you".

I'm not crying, you are.

It's only natural. We all still love TAG Heuer but the brand is geared (more and more?) towards entry level watch enthusiasts, which most of us are no longer.
I'm mostly still into TAG because of what the brand used to mean to me and occasionally I'm swayed by a new release. But once you've handled very well designed watches at reasonable price points, some even from micro brands, it's so obvious how sloppy TAG can be with their range, designs and calibres.

TAG is like a super hot woman with an attitude problem. Deep down you know it's not worth it, but those legs man....

I can't entirely disagree, and it does annoy me that TH continue with shitty Selita movements, but generally I find the alternatives are either 'vintage inspired' (which is a no no for me) or spectacularly ugly (eg - watermelon), or both.

TAG is like an Alfa Romeo in the 1980s, you know it's going to break, but it looks damned cool.

Except I am struggling with the current models a bit, this year's releases are not my favourite by a long chalk. But that's fine because there are plenty of watches from TAG's recent past I could aspire to own. Plus in a few years things may swing back in my favour. I figure it's like following a football team, you don't ditch them just because they are at the bottom of the table... you just don't buy anything.

Thanks. Love the old thousands
Wish my full lume still had an intact face like ours, still, missing indices give mine a ‘lived in’ look.

Today I am paying a respectful visit to the shrine of the Tudor GMT (it’s just down the road from @Jim Dollares Church of Silver Dials). Almighty Wilsdorf, please bless my watch with a long and happy life free from date wheel issues! Amen.

In all seriousness, the sketch was an absolutely amazing gift from my girlfriend (it’s by Dark Side of the Watch). And because she bought it that means it gets to be framed and displayed in our house! Result.

I shall pray for you @RushDom

Although, that beautiful gmt would look even more killer if it had a silver dial. Obviously.
