It’s actually the same vintage Seatime in both photos. This one has the particularity of sporting the “De Luxe” gold/champaign dial with the nicely faceted indices (ref. 1007). Originally the case was also gold plated, but some past owner has had that polished down (some remnants are still visible between the lugs).
I guess the plating must have been all scuffed up - but looking at some (rare) catalogue pictures, I think it’s for the better that way anyway…

Still trying to get a pic that really captures how the patina is playing out on this one. The dull and shiny at same time just doesn’t quite translate to a photo. In pics it looks either dark or shiny; in reality it is both. This pic gets close; annoyingly it was taken in a toilet haha
fantastic watch and after a few weeks on the wrist I’d challenge anyone to put a 58 on and not love how it feels. I suspect the Pelagos 39 will have a similar effect when worn
