Knowing Yago’s size preferences, I’m assuming that this is a first gen. Ex2 —> Never realized in the past that these hadn’t a colored tip of the GMT hand 😎
Makes the ensemble of the hands look cleaner, but personally I’d still have a hard time to get over the hour hand (shape and - above all - shortness)…
Still: Wear it in good health. Looks very nice in combination with the leather jacket 👍
Looks like Yago has just cleverly hidden the red GMT behind the black second pointer, well done. One day I will get one of the more recent 42mm versions with the orange GMT hand, preferably white but black would work well too. Congrats Yago!👍
Haha didn’t notice the hidden red hand 😁
Not by cleverness at all…
I actually like that little red detail. Love at first sight with this one. Always interested in this reference. Seeing a couple at my watchmaker put it on top of my list. 40mm is really spot on for me. Coupled with the original oyster case proportions it sits pretty perfectly on the wrist.
I would like it even more with a more tactical looking handset. The date is also a distraction. I know how people love these date windows with cyclops but a simple marker at 3 would have been just perfect.

That too 😉 But the hand design is different between the 40mm and the (recent) 42mm iteration as regards the contrasting color (vs. black) of the GMT-tip/triangle (i.e., red vs. orange aside):
5 digits/40mm
6 digits/42mm
I also somehow thought that they had increased the length of the hour hand with the recent redesign, but not really, apparently 😎
Indeed, too big for my taste. Don’t understand the move to a bigger and thicker case with huge hands and markers. Probably decided to further differentiate with sub and GMT II, mostly for the black dial.
