Wife just sent me this asking if she should buy it.... she's been looking at these for years.

Answer - no, buy a bloody TAG Heuer woman!

Haha! This made me laugh 😁 I told my wife the same thing, only TAG Heuer 😉

I've crossed off the Monaco Historique and Fragment F1 from my 2020 TAG Heuer wishlist.

The 160th Carrera Silver -or- Montreal remain, but I constantly flip flop on which one I like better. Been leaning more to the Silver lately.

Adding the RedBull F1 as a potential candidate. I love the blue on this dial! It's probably a more sensible choice, given the economic conditions under the pandemic.

Solid choice 👍👍

I have 2-3 blue dials that I just simply love 😎😎

Good thing also is tht Omegas are insanely expensive so now when Rob's wife is stepping up her watch budget Rob will be allowed to spend 4 times as much on his Tags 👍

Ha, hold onto that dream!
Looking at the Omega site, they don't make it anymore but the nearest equiv is nearly £4000 so £1650 seems like a very good price to me.

Offered my wife a great many watches over the last 3-4 years (guilt?) but she shows no interest, she do wear a wrist brace regularly(usually) for arthritis so wearing a watch is a rarity, I have suggested the right wrist, but, well I assume all you married guys know ‘that look’ so I should just keep quiet.

I have to put the breaks on acquisitions for a bit but below is my current list. Think any purchases would probably be next year at this point.

Heuer Autavia Viceroy

Breitling top time 810 reverse panda (would like mark 1 case since have mark 2 case panda but would get mark 2 case if needed to)

Benrus GG-W-113 (Vietnam war period) - could probably do this one this year if I found the right one now and would allow me to search through a bunch of frankens/fakes on ebay for hours.

A panda dial or reverse panda dial in the 39mm Carrera case with Calibre 2 movement (unfortunately I may be waiting forever on this one since they don't make it). Thread did say wishlist so figure this one can count.

Turns out it's a special edition, I must admit it is a bloody lovely watch. The blue dial is gorgeous...

Just bagged myself a 1988-89 TH Catalogue for £30.
