I like both but can only realistically afford one. My wife seems to prefer the Autavia as well. More confused than ever.

Autavia is better value given the technicality of the Heuer 02 movement. If it were me looking at an Autavia I'd certainly be looking into how I could get the Jack Heuer edition as I found it that bit more special on the wrist. I do think the Monza was quite a well done reedition though, so can understand the dilemma.

I really enjoyed the Autavia when I got the opportunity to try it 'in the metal' and now I'm hugely bias since I payed my deposit fee for an Autavia this weekend, but I think the Autavia actually looks really good on your wrist! Sure it's a huge watch, but everyone who can wear it better than myself wears it really good and I think it suits you perfectly.

But then I've never been a big fan of the Monza really, it's a bit too undercover and 'in your face' at the same time for me I guess馃榿

I like this one. What do you think of this defy21?

It doesn't really matter what we think, you are the one who has to wear it if you decide to buy 馃槈.

For me, the one with Semon Oscillator is better. But of course i can't comment on the price gap between the two. As far as i know, this Defy21 is also not cheap.

If i have the money to burn i would rather spend it on the "Heuer03 zenith" rather then Defy21. I dont know if it is still only limited only but defy21 is also not that easy to get. At least in my area.

Apart from that, the Defy21 is often dubbed as the 'bivered' zenith elprimero. Not sure its a good thing but i am sure by the technicality alone it is a superior movement compare to the classic elprimero IMHO (please don't flame me, elprimero fans. But elprimero is a classic this one is newer. Technology has improved since then).

By the way if you are into techy stuff like the Defy21. I suggest you also check the jaeger extreme lab. I think it quite a technically superior watch.

I got the chance to see it in steel before. It looked better than the picture.

Picture attached.

Saw this in person and tried them on. It really reminds me of my heuer01.

Well, unbelievably, I just found on eBay my 'dream' watch... a pre-owned WAY208C in excellent condition, and... not only that, the cyclops has been removed! ::psy::

So why am I hesitating?
Don't know. Too big at 43mm perhaps? 馃槈

Because you can find something similar but new on the grey market within the price range?

Proceed with extreme caution when buying a second hand PVD coated watch.
Scratches can't be polished out.

This watch has proven extremely difficult to find... I did find one new in a jeweller but it got sold before I went to see it. Obviously the strap is getting changed... 馃ぎ but, aside from the concerns about scratches, I really wanted one without a cyclops and here it is, so I should be more excited. Maybe it's because I've started looking at yellow dial chronotimers?

It happens.
Happens to any of us all the time.
You don't really want one. You are just itching to buy a watch.

Oh my gosh ! this is the first time i really seen someone actually removed the cyclops and now he want to sell it. Couldn't really understand it. If i removed the cyclops for my sake, i thought it will be forever.

Yeah, i am itching for watch all the time. But not recently. I am setting my target on 1 watch for now...i am now in my sober state for watch. Never been this sober for 2 years now.

Hmm, well I dunno I've been after this for six months or more, so I don't know... I'm kind of reverting back to thinking I should just keep my money and save for the black dial Monaco 24. But the problem is it's going to take a couple of years to get that and there's no guarantee the outlets will still have them - and they cost more second hand than new from the outlets!

Save for the Monaco.
At least it's unique, and special.
