It’s indeed super nice and the people are great. Not only can you try most watches you like, not the NOS pieces, but they’ll also suggest pieces. Like that jade beauty we tried and sold for 1.2 million today 😁

Sounds fun indeed! I’ll have to check whether Phillips (et al.) functions the same way in Geneva (where the GPHG exhibition is already a pretty insane, yearly treat) 😁

With the F1 race being held at Montreal's "Gilles-Villeneuve" racetrack today it's a good time to view a beautiful Autavia 73663 "Villeneuve". Offered here by Raticosa

The Autavia at 1/2 o'clock is a very rare prototype...it's the sister watch of the Monaco at the centre...same dial and hand concept, just a shame that they didn't make more than a handful.

@Calibre11 Did Heuer mark its watches in a way to distinguish prototypes or one off special client orders (if that was a thing)?

Got my hands on one of these new-ish ladder bracelets in 18mm. What do you guys think - heresy or worth a try?

I just realized that this one came without (QR) springbars (only these will fit)…

So I’ll first need to source a pair of these in 18mm. Mail order’s gonna be stupid for that scenario, so running up and down GVA it’ll be 🫨

Kinda completes the barrelish look and it's something quite different than what we normally see. Killer Carrera too!👍

A Carrera 3647T from 1964 (Valjoux 92) for sale in France:

Ah, one of my favorite Carrera variants. This example's not so great though - look at that big dent by 2 o'clock 😲

The relume isn't very well done either and it's got the wrong hour/minute hands - they're too long, these are for a regular non-tracked dial.

These aren’t Heuers, but I found them interesting nonetheless (never seen these for sale before)…

Don't know much about the Favre-Leuba chrono (they're more known for their divers, never heard of them having a white-label Heuer before) but the Hamilton Pan-Europ is cool. They even released a 3-hander reedition a couple years ago.

What's really cool is the Cal. 14 GMT version, if you can find it!

Too bad it doesn’t have running seconds…

Perfect Monaco 🥰

Looking for a CHRONOMATIC Cal. 11 myself. The Hamilton is at least affordable, perhaps a Breitling one day too. Sadly a Heuer will just never happen for me🙁

Cool photo. And a cool Cal.11 collection that would be… Also makes me realize how closely the design of the current Hamilton panda chronos (I always forget their name…) resembles that of their historic predecessors 😀

Did Buren actually commercialize chronos under their own brand name, back in the days?
