Wow, big congrats Michael!! I saw the wristshot in the other thread, thinking "hmmm I cant remember he owns this one" but too shy to mention in case it was just an ordinary retard error in my brain. But now I see it was in fact a new purchase 馃憤 well done, killer looking classic this one

Thanks a lot guys!!! 馃グ

Been after one of these for years. They're pretty hard to find (unless you're @SteveP or @Snowy). This one has been on many a secret mission and needed some TLC, as the movement wasn't working. Luckily it only needed a new circuit/coil to restore its health and reactivate its "00" status. 馃憤

Always nice to hear when a fellow collector adds a grail, ya got a nice one Speedster! The charming look of honest wear on the buckle is an added bonus to my eyes. Surely the dial lume on black will have that secret agent look馃憤

That is just spooky! Here is some text from one of my very first Heuer posts. Sadly the original photos are long gone but here are a couple of others from the same time, showing my 007 'watches in action'...

....."Hopefully you'll notice the original bracelets too, which I'm so pleased with. Yes, they are in 'honest' condition, but I like to think this is because they have been on many 'secret missions' ;-)"..... 馃槻

Special preview at the TAG boutique tonight! Saw the James Garner Carrera and met his daughter Gigi. Had a great time, but didn鈥檛 get a chance to try the watch on - I鈥檒l be stopping by the full Phillips auction preview later this week though ao should have better photos.

It鈥檚 in nice survivor condition too, looks untouched from the original spec. 馃グ

Cool. I popped in the 5th ave boutique yesterday. Tried on the blue AR, it鈥檚 nice. The display model already had a scratch on the bezel though 馃槖
The Mcqueen is still the king of modern Monacos.
The orange AR isn鈥檛 bad, the orange seemed a bit pale but a nice watch nonetheless. Looking forward to checking out the Phillips watches. Adam and I will report 馃槈

I swung by Phillips earlier today. A few pics of the Heuer on offer. The Garner watch wasn't there though. Guess it was still at Tag boutique.

That's a pain, it's one of their marquee offerings! I think I did hear that TAG had another event on Thursday evening though so I suppose your guess is right.

I'll be stopping by later today, looking forward to checking out the Skipper (as well as some of the Speedmasters)!

Even without the Garner it was a lot of fun and well worth the trip. Hope you enjoy your visit. On the Omega front, I thought the 2913 was the best one!

Please forgive the non-Heuer photos and my Seamaster 300 is next to the one for sale.

The detailed story about the Garner Carrera on C11, which most press articles about the auction are linking to, is no longer online 馃檮

Not every day you get to try a golden Newman 馃槻, platona, solid gold Nautilus and a couple of Patek and Journe 馃榿
The skipperera was definitely the nicest one, value not considered. Sensational watch

How does that work pre-auction? On invitation only? Or you just go there and fake interest (and financial stamina - as I would have to do)? 馃槜

My modest vintage contribution on this side of the Atlantic today:

You just show up and show interest and they have a guy pitch you the watches. They will basically show you any watch you are interested in and let you try them on. I always wear one of my nicer watches so they take me for real but not sure you really need to do that. I also say I plan to bid on a couple of lots (usually the brand I am wearing) though honestly you don鈥檛 need to do that but it is fun and you can ask for detailed questions. Though honestly I know more about these vintage watches then the guy selling them.

It is a lot of fun seeing watches and only way you get to hold these really awesome watches that I at least can鈥檛 really afford and won鈥檛 bid on. Finding a bargain at Phillips is just not going to happen.
