Vintage on the right indeed 👍
Treasure trove of watches and straps. Also just a genuine nice guy. His new site will be online soon and he’ll offer a wide range of straps on there. I was on the brink of picking up a 22mm corfam copy for the Monaco but with the service and extra Carrera strap I refrained from that 🙄
Service came with a new leather strap and pouch.

Spent a great morning at Abel Court, picking up the Carrera and talking watches. Mostly vintage Heuer of course 🙄

One of these is a vintage Corfam

Silver dialed Autavia 11630T with beautiful orange hands and markers. And in a very nice neighborhood it would seem.
Pic from a seller, but sold now. And not to me!

Perfect condition, wow. Who is the seller?
That 1163p on the right is super freakin rare. Also for sale?

11630P? Still rare though. 😎
I'll make an educated guess and say it's probably raticosa. (in which case he makes sure everything is as close to 100% pristine condition as possible!)

Pay more for a really good one like this.

Vintage guys always worried about paying too much and resale value. Compared to a new watch, which will lose 40% value as you walk out of the store, this Autavia is an absolute bargain.

Price was good imo. But import duty to the UK from the EU kills these deals for me now after Brexit. Shame.

Had seen the pic of that silver Autavia, too.

Cannot afford these prices, unfortunately, but would agree with @Yago :
When you see that this one is basically NOS and then factor in the current price point of all the iconic, in-house caliber chronos of the Swiss heavy-hitters*, the asking price for this Autavia seems fair (although it’s still eye-watering for me, personally).

*) Since the manufacturers almost succeeded in making the marketplace believe that all these Chronos are “investment pieces”, even the market for new-ish second hand examples is getting ridiculous, IMHO. The number of ads I’ve seen recently, where people try to offload their new Moonwatches for (+)5k EUR, for example… 🙄

If that’s any consolation:
That goes both ways (i.e., private GB used/vintage market basically off-limits for EU buyers, now)… 😵‍💫
