Thanks for the article @Calibre11, a very enjoyable read! 👍
But FYI, the link in the article to the 2020 edition article doesn't work:
"The strip of bricks, mimicking the start line at IMS, features on the dial, and looks fantastic, You can read more about the 2020 edition here."

Those vintage pieces are really something! However my favorite is still the 2020 F1 model, the asphalt and bricks dial treatment is just too cool for school! 😎

Coming this weekend: The Ultimate Guide to the TAG Heuer Indy 500 watches. Heuer Carrera Indy by @rarebirds.de
So this lovely article is no longer available…
I was trying to look up the story behind the Cv201as Indy LE Carrera.

It shares the specs of the CBM2110 but the ref nr suggests it’s not in the same family.

anyone know more about this?

My mate’s cbm2110 looks great so I’ve been doing some research into these watches. Seems bizarre these black and blue dial varieties are the only 41mm Carrera with external bezel in the line up, and they’re c16. So no H02, these must be coming right? Am I missing something? Thickness of the cbm is also pretty sweet compared to both H02 I’m familiar with.

You can get at the old article via the Wayback Machine here: https://web.archive.org/web/2021102...dy-500-watches-the-ultimate-collectors-guide/ But it doesn't give too much detail on the CV201AS model.

This old article by Monochrome has more information: https://monochrome-watches.com/tag-...t=The Indy 500,gathering for a sporting event.

Really lovely in blue. But do I need another (TH) chronograph?

The current ‘Sport’ Carrera with the H02 movement basically replaces these ceramic bezel C16s. I’m in agreement with you that these older models were really well done.

That’s a shame. The 41mm look indeed better than the H02 44mm.
