Great combo, this one’s lighter than mine.
Yes, this one is still dark, but a little bit brighter and reflective. Thought your one was more like the first picture I posted. It's a good strap. A tiny bit thinner than I was expecting, but it has a great leather smell and is very soft, light and comfortable.

Looking good Charlie! Does it appear as light irl as in the photos?
Depends on the light obviously. Can look dark, but if the light hits it, it is quite obviously blue. I'd say the photos are reasonably accurate. Maybe a little brighter irl even.

Thanks brobeans.

So I couldn't resists ordering a GLC strap for myself, since I thought it would go very well with the blue accents on the Reissue Carrera, and pair well with the Heuer buckle! Here are the results. It's a dark blue, but much more like the brighter blue in the second picture above I'd say.
Looks awesome and matches well with the blue accents on your Reissue! Much more blue compared to Yago's.

That's the bottom one (pic2) that you got, right? Although @Yago ordered supposedly the same one, his definitely looks like the top one (pic 1). It's all good since you both got what you wanted. 👍

I'm very happy with both of my straps from GLC, they're great! I've put my Porsche strap on my Speedy for the time being, as I'm really enjoying the Corfam rally style on my Dato. Easier for me to swap watches than to to swap straps in order to appreciate both of my straps.

On a side note, the TH Boutique told me that the 16mm B buckle is out of stock in the US. Mine is on backorder and should arrive in about 3 weeks. So maybe Jim will get his first.

I believe you bought the "flat" style rally strap. They also make a "padded" style, which is what I got.

Yes, I definitely got pic2, and Yago's looks like pic 1, even though the description of what we both ordered was the same. But we ordered at different times, so maybe we both got what we ordered at the time. My one doesn't have any padding, though - it's a reasonable thickness but a flat strap nonetheless.

Yours looks excellent on the FOIS. But then the FOIS looks great on any strap to be honest. I used to wear mine on either a brown rally strap, or a plain black strap. Looked great on both.

I was editing my response when you replied, as I noticed yours is indeed the thinner style. I like both, my Porsche strap is the thin style, while my Corfam is the padded one.

Agreed. The non-padded works well with the reissue Carrera given it's quite a small watch. If it was bigger/thicker, then the padded would be a better option I think. But I guess it comes down to preference at the end of the day, and they are not cheap straps so I can't buy them all unfortunately!

My ‘70s Carrera, Montreal and Autavia have 20mm lug width so I can’t interchange the straps of my 39mm Carreras with them unfortunately. This also means I can’t use my vintage corfam on the Dato which is a crying shame.

You should be able to use a 20mm strap with a 19mm lug without too many issues, although corfam might be a trickier proposition. However, it does sometimes mean they become a bit useless as 20mm straps in the process!

Thanks again for this Michael, I have now ordered one for myself. Swedish price is 600 SEK, about £50 👍
So my AD just contacted me to say that 2 Heuer buckles came in for me. 19,5 euro a piece... I should start a little Ebay business.

Would he get suspicious if you ordered 20?

My local AD finally got back to me, turns out my sales contact was on vacation, hence the delay. She said the B buckle price is $20 USD, seems this is the going rate now. I'm not going to order it from this AD, since my TAG Boutique contact already ordered one for me as a gift.

As an FYI, I've found post lockdown servicing turnaround time in the UK to be very quick, just 3 to 4 weeks, even for an automatic. I guess they didn't have much of a backlog once the boutiques reopened 😀
