Yes, I'm not deliberately being a dick. It honestly feels too small on me. I tried on the Montreal a few weeks ago and it felt like a toy.
I also think the 39mm of the glassbox Carreras are too small. They should have gone with 41mm or 42mm.
I would be curious to read your impressions, if you ever find a Telemeter; that most definitely feels tiny.

@Hubert do you have any experience with the 41mm 80th birthday Carrera鈥檚. I鈥檝e seen a few up for sale lately but unfortunately not much out there comparing them to either the Calibre16鈥檚 or the 39mm versions with Calibre17鈥檚 or HO2鈥檚.

I've tried on the JH80 Cal 17 Carrera a number of times. My favorite is the silver and blue dial (CV5111). I suspect if you love your JH85 Autavia, you'll love these too. My only gripe is the Cal 17 is a bit thick, but they look great nevertheless.

Yes, I have the JH80 and the anthracite.

The JH 80TH is one of my faves.
Doesn't get enough wrist time as I treat it like a special piece.
Sometimes I will wear it on special occasions but mostly it's in its box. Size is great for me at 41mm.

Loved the JH80th but in the end I sold it because it was too big. I am all for variety in sizing so that all bases are covered, but 41mm would have been too big for a true homage piece imo. Plus it had been done very well before.

I would say the 39mm glassbox Carrera wears smaller than 39mm for sure.

For me, 41mm is really perfect also.

I don't want anymore 43, 44 or 45mm... so not easy with Tag Heuer 馃檨

You must be referring to the JH Carrera 40th Anniversary. Loved this one too and its smaller size. If only it had the Heuer logo...

No, what I meant was that the JH80th and associated models had been done very well in 41mm, so the 39mm glassbox brought something different to the table.

But I agree, if it wasn't for the logo (and the slightly bulbous case), that JH40th would be almost perfect. I have thought about buying one on many an occasion.

Anyone got or seen the CV211D? How does it compare to the others and current models?

I've seen all of them, including the CV211D, but it was years ago when each was new. The black dial reverse panda is the same as the others, it's really just about color preferences. These wore similar to the current 42mm Carrera Elegant, which is probably the most comparable size wise. The retro looks are more comparable to the current heritage glassbox Carreras. But without the domed glassbox crystal and they're obviously larger.
