Looks like the shadow of the date window is 'extending' the edge of the window so it looks like it's right at the edge.

Lovely dial. Shame they couldn't get more of a tonal match with the bezel and centre part of the bracelet.

True. Looks pretty good for a design that is basically 40 years old- in fact, hard to believe that there is only 13 years between the original Monaco and this design (1982)
