··TAG Heuer Forums ModeratorI still prefer the original Monza Calibre 17 CR2080.FC6375 as it is 😉
Edited:
Me too. (And my vintage Monza current strap is upside down, but I'll have to fix it next time I overhaul it.)
How come everytime I see a photo of the Monza I think that it is the most perfect watch ever made. The front is almost as sexy as the caseback
Browsed over this thread and saw a Calibre 11 member @slbinko with the same love and admiration for TAG Heuer Formula 1 “old-school” watches! 👍
Old is cool 😎 @Aquagraph @Snowy
I love the Monza...but I do think they made a mistake by making the 40th Anniversary so big. The original 2000 one is perfect.
By the way, I found out last week that the 2000 Monza case was designed by Mijat, the man who designs for Hublot, but also designed the 1997 Monaco re-edition
How is it that the gold links on this watch look perfect, and yet the bezel looks like it's been dragged down a pavement? It must have looked amazing when it was brand new.... (starts wondering how much a new bezel would cost, but then realises that the gold probably won't match).
Maybe... I dunno?
Or maybe the bezel is solid (capped) gold that scratches like gold usually does and the bracelet is coated mixed gold alloy thingy being more scratch resistant
