Okay, now I'm really confused. I thought water was death to watch movements.... I mean yes I see that you dried it, but.... even so. How can you be sure it's totally dry?
I figured an hour with a hairdryer would be enough, but it'll also get a full service (eventually). Perhaps there's rust on the steel parts and a new movement is in order, but I'll find that out upon disassembly. But everything will get a wash with L&R cleaner and rinse; it's a pretty thorough process.
I always thought water was bad for tritium/luminova and the printing on the dial...
Someone on WUS asked the same question.

I took a look at the lume through a stereomicroscope and saw a nice, glossy meniscus in the various locations. The face does have applied indices with pretty deep slots for the lume and they are only partly full. But the binder in the lume is similar to nail polish (a thick lacquer) so it survived quite nicely.

That was my original worry in that the dial finish or lume would have been damaged as you often see in vintage dials. Fortunately, the dial looks like new as well as the hands. I suspect the black finish on both is also lacquer.

Has anyone actually seen this watch? Maybe Jeff? Is it green or is it yellow? If it's green then I want one, if it's yellow I don't.

Clearly yellow. You need to fix the colour on your screen 馃ぃ

Yes. You can see that the top pic is a COMPLETELY different colour to the other two though.

Top one is highlighter yellow. Bottom one is yellow yellow. Careful examination of a lime shows it is green:

I would hazard a guess that if you bought this watch, it would look more like green in some light and more like yellow in others.

TAG Heuer calls it Lime, so that sounds more green than yellow.

That's what I thought... but one pic is clearly different to the other, though it seems my drunk friends can't see it somehow

TAG also called the chrono hand on the Monaco Racing Blue a lime yellow. The two colors look very close to me. I've seen the Monaco in person and it looks more yellow to my eyes, I'm betting the F1 (which I haven't seen) will also look practically the same to my eyes in person.

^In fact, we had a very similar discussion about the "Lime" color when the Monaco Racing Blue was released.
With the color supposedly mimicking the Porsche brakes on their hybrid cars.
But in person the chrono hand still looked more yellow to my eyes.

OTOH, the Fratello F1 article does call it a light green.

Yes, this is true. In which case I don't want one. Apparently it's only being sold in selected stores anyway so would have to find somewhere that had one.
