I would only buy a gen 4, 5 6 etc if they made it square and styled it on the Monaco with Monaco factory faces .
No way.... Apple Watch is already square ;-) Don't want that anymore.

Thankfully I don’t have an Apple Watch so a square tag connected will be fine for me as long as there is a good selection of factory faces. They cannot create another round watch surely. Question is would wear os even work or look ok on a square screen. Maybe not ???

Gen1, Gen2 Modular, and Gen3 are 'Carrera Connected'… why not a 'Monaco Connected' for Gen4? 😉 👍
Uff... I'm not a fan of Monaco and I think a Monaco-like smartwatch would have strong Apple Watch vibes.😲

Yes, of course the comparison with the Apple Watch would be clear, but if you imagine a Monaco case with digital screen, it would look very different from an Apple Watch

Sure, but the Monaco has a very art deco style that doesn't fit well with a digital screen. Any attempt to modernise it, would probably bring it closer to the Apple Watch.

Agree. They should keep the Monaco case as it is, without any change (including the crown
on the left side and two pushers on the right side), just with a digital screen making it a Monaco Connected and keeping its identity

In fact the Monaco Sixty Nine was already close to this concept… they just need to change the digital side for a smartwatch side, and it would be another way to combine mechanical and smartwatch in one watch as they did with Gen2 Modular 😉

That’s an interesting concept. A tag Heuer reverso. How about a screen on top of the real face which is see-through when off and a screen when on. Should be possible these days. The 69 concept could work. I would buy it. However the price would be high. Too much maybe …

I hope they'll actually skip the 4100+ and release a watch with the yet-to-be-announced 5100. The 4100+ is still not at the same level as the SoC that Samsung uses. Also the 4100+ was developed prior to the announcement of the latest Wear OS 3 release, so the next 5100 will be the first wearable SoC from Snapdragon built with Wear OS 3 in mind. It will be bad again if TAG Heuer releases a new Connected with the 4100+ just before the 5100 is announced (as they did with the current Connected, which they released with the 3100 just a couple of months before the 4100+ was announced).
I can't see this happen.
It took them 5 years to upgrade from 3100 to 4100.
Doubt they do a new update within a year or 2.
