Saw the teasers on TAG IG handle yesterday and now this on Bamford's page. I suppose the big boys here already know what's coming.

I don't hear whispers about the 3rd party editions so this'll be new to me too

No idea here either.
I don't even know who this Izukawa is.

I don't even know who this Izukawa is.

They've been playing him up in their IG stories. He was a successful, revered Japanese racing driver and now some sort of fashion icon I gather

We've already been discussing this in the Other Things Heuer/TAG Heuer thread. It's a new Bamford collab with Team Ikuzawa. Credit to @Yago for spotting the watch back in July. You can see pics here: https://tagheuerforums.com/threads/other-things-heuer-tag-heuer.45150/page-77#post-2211734
Latest discussion is here: https://tagheuerforums.com/threads/other-things-heuer-tag-heuer.45150/page-80#post-2234737
The watch should be released on Sept. 21st.

There's an article about Tetsu Ikuzawa in the Edge from 2021: https://magazine.tagheuer.com/en/2021/12/09/timekeepers-tetsu-ikuzawa/

We're assuming it's the watch Tetsu Ikuzawa and his daughter Mai are wearing in these pics.

He's a legend in Japan, credited for making Porsche popular there, although he spent most of his racing career based out of the UK. He's been a fan of Heuer/TAG Heuer for over 60 years. Porsche 911's too. 👍

Some of his watches.

At Regent Park in London, 1969. Back when he was a swinging cool dude. 😎

A recent picture of his Porsche 997.

George and Mai Ikuzawa, getting ready for the launch. Looks like they're both wearing the watch.

This looks like a pretty cool release judging by those photos.

There’s clearly a Red and White theme to Ikuzawa’s style throughout, for obvious reasons. Very cool indeed.

Looks like it'd be a very cool asymmetric design with one red subdial - but watch it have the running seconds that will screw it all up

We'll see soon enough. But recall Bamford actually removed the running seconds on the Ruf model.

Yeah it looks like only the Bamford specials get the proper treatment. Well hopefully I won't want this one since I'm still in heavy sell mode!

It’s probably just a matter of time before you sell what you need to and fancy at least one new purchase.

Oh I'm selling aggressively cause I want to clear the repair bills and start buying watches ASAP lol

TAG Heuer is using a countdown timer. This might mean it could be available via TAG - maybe?
The image does imply TAG Heuer x Bamford x Ikuzawa.

I'm not sure, but it seems like CEO Frederic might be present at the launch. It's probably no coincidence that it's also the Japanese GP weekend.
