Looking to compete but only now moving to COSC as those mentioned have all but moved to METAS.

Will be glad to see them ditch the Calibre 5 nonetheless.

They also need to get a bit more imaginative with their bracelets if they are truly looking to compete.

baby steps.

does the current bracelet taper? They do have on the fly adjustment though.

I agree that it takes time, but what better moment to do so than when you’re introducing a new model with new movement, etc. even if it was an additional option just to play it safe.

Current one does taper and does have on the fly adjustment, but it is way behind the on the fly designs with others, plus the bracelet design is very basic nowadays. It will suit some, depending on the look they’re after, but an option with a bit more style to it would not go amiss, especially when they appear to be looking to go upmarket.

You can’t just whack the prices up and give very little to reflect alleged upmarket allure.

I get that & to be honest COCS should’ve been in place with the last revamp (your model).

I’m always fan of an ‘oyster style’ bracelet especially on a diver. But the new Tudor Monochrome on 5 link (jubilee) is very nice.

But the clasp on the Aquaracers whilst it does its job does like refinery.

Wishful thinking but your orange model, with COSC and an orange strap would be great summer vibes.

But knowing what I’d like & what luxury brands produce. I’m not getting my hopes up

Don’t get me wrong, the oyster style is fine if you want an absolute tool watch, but that jubilee style on the Tudor does raise the bar considerably. Tudor give both options very nicely. I am wearing my Seamaster again today, and this bracelet is superb in my opinion. Some don’t like it, but it’s night and day compared to my Aquaracer.

I hear you on the COSC and rubber strap version of mine being great. Like you say, I just can’t see them doing it. Perhaps too avant garde for them?

Heard rumours Omega looking to bring a taper version on the bracelet out the end of the year. #gamechanger ha

lol

I actually like it as it is tbh. Will be interesting to see how it compares though. I know many people hate the current one.

astonishingly measured" price hike compared to the Cal. 5
Great... finally the already overpriced Aquaracer will be even more expensive. I guess a TAG Heuer in-house movement developed and manufactured by Sellita justifies the new watch to cost at least £4500

In-house movements are so great.

maybe they/ maybe they’re not. But 38hrs PR on a modern watch is a joke. £2k above needs to be 70hrs and run COSC specs

I agree. My point was more that the Swiss repeatedly keep getting away with the scam of calling third party movements in-house and then charge ridiculous money for it. The Aquaracer is already overpriced for what it is.

Is that a leaked image of a new complication for TH?
Perfect if they can pay their paid ambassadors to wear this in exchange for money when posing in social media and in events. The complication will let us know how authentic the paid ambassador is in their love for TAG Heuer

Yeah, it's a bullshit detector on the back of the new Aquaracer
I was thinking it should be on a subdial on the front, with another subdial showing the percentage increase in price over the previous month.

I’m one of them - I think its design is just plain awful: full-throttle 90s vibes that didn’t age well 😜

I’d only buy a Seamaster Pro on rubber and then go Forstner or Uncle (or Strapcode).

Also, I find y’all a bit harsh re. TAG’s current bracelets. I rather like them - admittedly not a lot of bells & whistles, but they do their job well (i.e., rather comfortably).
