I guess Mr Biver's affordable tourbillon is well and truly over.

This looks like they have strategic pricing for tourbillons? They now cost 30k, dive watches cost 5k, chronos cost 10k?

So I wonder how this affects the resale value of the tourbillons? The blue glassbox is on Watchfinder for £13,900 but still showing a list of £19,950.

So will WF put the prices up? Doubtful because they aren't selling now. But if they change the list prices then they look ridiculous.

Plus if you want to buy a tourbillon and you see WF selling a £30k watch for £14k it doesn't inspire much confidence does it?

Naturally increasing the list price will increase the resale value.

Well you would think so... but I can't see it. Maybe it will help them shift it though...

It's funny cos it seems like the Solargraphs (carbon and titanium) are trading about £1700/1800 but now they are touching £3000 I doubt it will make any difference to them. It's almost like the resale is determined by the original price and also the number of pre-owned available (obviously). So like with the SG the original price was 2500, so 17-1800 seems about right.

I guess now we know how they're planning to pay for their F1 sponsorship.... 🙄

^^^ Absolutely!

I'm not gonna buy until I figure out how to get into it.

But it has been the first Aquaracer that's impressed me in quite a while.

At least they didn't increase the price of the Senna Tourbillon or Porsche Panamericana Tourbillon. They seem more reasonable now, ha! ::facepalm1::

No but you're right. The Senna looks much more reasonable now. It's only about a £2000 premium over the standard model. I think the mistake was not deleting the old tourbillons, waiting and relaunching them at this price point. That would have been much smarter.

Failing to address the fakes suddenly makes sense. There’s no option other than buying new if you want a genuine Aquaracer, so consumers will have to pay whatever price TH ask.
Hmmm, that BLNR's looking pretty good right now.
