·I like the design, plus Hawaii is a special place for personal reasons. But it's not my favorite AR, I like the Night Diver more. Hence it was hard to justify the purchase.

·That Seamaster is lovely in the flesh but bland online. Still the green just pips it for me. Going to see what’s released this year but the SeaweedMaster is high up.
I didn’t think it would make a difference but it looked odd after wearing my black one. Narrowed it down to that after feeling like something was missing.
Would be fine if I hadn’t worn the black one. Cool colour on the green nonetheless.

·Thank you @Jim Dollares and @bpsmith - looking back on the model, there are some great looking watches. I’m not sure if asked to come up with my favorite ten Submariners that there would be enough variety to make an interesting list. Accessibility would be another factor, these Aquaracers are well within many collectors budget.

Has there ever been a two register 3-9 Aquaracer? Edit: kinda - the CAK211A countdown timer. Now, will a calibre 72 fit in a CAY218A case…

Good point, I’d forgotten about the CAY211Z. I was never a fan due to the date window position. Those steel dive chronos are definitely chonky!

Don’t think they were good sellers. The quartz maybe. Personally I don’t mind it, framing is good & chrono hand doesn’t block it, it’s just not a big date which it’s trying to be.
I’ve always preferred a 3,6,9 dial layout for chronographs.
I also don’t think many doors would survive a whack against this watch.
