As long as it doesn't go boom when its done ticking like the 2015 Renault or Honda I'd say it'd be more than welcome lol
Incidentally when they say "Swiss Engineering To Close The Gap" they're not just talking about TAG Heuer branding in the marketing sense, Mario Illien has been on Red Bull's payroll for a while now trying to work with Renault to improve their engine and is in fact a Swiss national himself.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Illien
Illien (former co-founder of Ilmore - now Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains) presented his design to Renault which they then ignored in favour of their own updated version which as Red Bull demonstrated in Interlagos was worse than the existing engine.
So its rather appropriate really that if it does become RedBull-TAG, it will in fact be a true Swiss engine design even if it shares some initial elements with the Renault.
It's Red Bull-TAG Heuer for 2016 and beyond...

Red Bull Calibre 11 would also be a strong solution.

So it's going beyond 2016 too? Christian had mentioned this was an interim 2016 arrangement for now but at the same time they would be mad to go back to being a customer after the mess they've had dealing with the works teams this year, I wonder if the interim part is just in terms of it being Renault based this year and completely separate after that?
Ron Dennis was absolutely right about one thing, you're not going to win world championships as a customer in this engine formula, especially as a Renault customer.
I like the way you're thinking Werner- but I might have to pass the hat around first
the current chief executive [Jean-Claude Biver] and I fundamentally disagreed about some things.
“I didn't share his view on his radical approach to sponsorship, which I thought was inappropriate for our brand, let alone his.
“There was a particular moment in Monte Carlo that I didn't particularly feel was positive. Plus that thread was taut, and the numbers declined over a period of time.”
The “particular moment” Dennis alludes to is famous model Cara Delevingne making an appearance at the Monaco Grand Prix clad in a flashy pink racing suit, with football star Cristiano Ronaldo also part of the TAG Heuer sponsor event
Not sure if this has been posted
