T tmasterthanks but again as i mentioned after reboot and complete shutdown i still get download complete screen.
im looking for a way to delete the update from the watch cachce so i follow your instructions from the top.
T tmaster2. try to look for Tag Heuer android wear faces in google , i found some threads in community boards. there are planty of apps for different watch faces maybe look for those apps aswell and search over there.
I don't own one, but that's definitely the impression I've got from reading this thread. It seems like android wear is the issue. Notably Samsung have moved away from it for their watches now.
C chrisukI'm exactly the same, for a watch costing £2600, it's terrible.
It's not just the software either though (wifi not working, bluetooth connects for 1 hour max, bluetooth turns itself on/off randomly, PIN number doesn't always come on after removing watch and picking it back up, having to spend several hours trying to update it....I could go on) - the build quality is terrible as well.
I've had my faceplate fall completely off, my strap has disconnected from the module whilst on my wrist, making it fall to the ground, the top black Lug has signs of wear on it already & I have a scratch right through the "SWISS MADE" sign - it's put me right off Tag watches for life.
I may look into the possibility of returning it for a refund (3 months old), as its just a basic digital watch at the moment.
Sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing with your connected, are you using yours with android or iOS? I know there are a lot of issues at the moment with iOS which were caused from the recent update from Apple but as a post stated previously they are aware of the issues and currently working on having them fixed.
As for the build quality of your watch I would contact the connected support to discuss your options, I've had to contact them numerous times (UK) and found there service faultless. Every effort was made to rectify the issues I had with my original connected (case cracked on the first due to manufacturing issue, then the screen fell off the replacement - Tag rectified this by upgrading me to the modular 45). It's worth a shot, they may suggest sending it back to repair the damage caused by the lug disconnecting from the watch.
Whatever you decide to do, keep us posted I would certainly explore your options before writing Tag off
C chrisukI’m on iOS & yes, the recent issues have made things worse, but it’s never been a “good experience”.
I’m also disappointed that the Tag iOS app hasn’t appeared yet either, I was led to believe they were moving away from android wear to a dedicated iOS Tag app around August, but that’s yet to happen either.
I have dropped them a ticket, but to be honest, the whole experience has put me off (previously had a Tag Aquaracer which was a daily for around 7 years).
I’ll detail how they respond in here & do appreciate all the help, support, guides etc in this thread, it’s been invaluable !
Hi, I’m new to this forum and have had my Tag Connected for a few weeks now. My experience so far is not good and I would love to hear from anyone out there who can make this watch last a day satisfactorily. It kinda goes against the grain for me because I collect mechanical watches but the convenience and novelty features impressed me. Sadly that was the end as far as impressing me goes. I am using the watch with IOS but have overcome pretty much all of the limitations that that involves. I have spent a considerable amount of time learning what the watch can do and it is very capable. BATTERY PERFORMANCE however is tragic. I have imported a couple of watch faces through watchmaker and modified then so that the On Pixel Ratio is very low typically 10% when awake and less than 1% when dim. I still cannot make it through a day without the watch dying. The Tag faces use so much power they kill the watch before lunchtime! I do not use position tracking nor do I use any activity stuff. I have reset the watch and the only app installed is watchmaker. My watch is so hopeless with battery stamina that I just leave it at home. It’s no good out for the day when it dies so quickly. As an aside I also put the display to sleep for periods to try to help extend the battery life but I’ve never made it through the day yet! Is this normal, anybody having better luck with this thing?
