Just saying. Full brightness is very very bright on mine and kinda ruins the look of the face.

I agree - I always have it on automatic. even when its on full brightness you cannot see the lines with any face. you can only see the lines at full brightness when navigating on Android wears grayish background such as pulling up the notification screen or pulling down the settings - its only visible if your in a dim room or like at night.

I want to see if any other users see these lines - I know AMOLED screens are subject to it.

Would be helpful if anyone could please check and look closely. (I know a bit OCDish)

thx

Ok. Took a look and definitely no lines of any type on the face. Take it back, sure they will do something.

correct, its not on the face.

lines are visible when pulling up the notification menu or on any screen that shows that blue/gray android back ground.

Are you 100% sure you removed the plastic protective cover from the dial? Apparently quite a few "dial issues" have turned out to be that this cover has been left on.

10000% sure - no one would be able to see that unless you are in full brightness and in the right conditions (dim light or at night) while on those blue/gray screens of the system.

you dont see any line with any watch face or any app.

I do want to take it back but most likely the store wouldn't have a replacement for me yet.

I can already see the watch lady faces when I try to get a replacement - shes going to think I'm nuts since she wont be able to see it in the stores lighting..

Yeah, I don't see any vertical lines on my watch at max brightness on the notification screen. She may, think you are nuts, but stick to your guns...when I picked up my watch at Jared's, the lady helping me had no idea what the watch was, that I was picking up.

No plug in the video.

Does anyone else want a bezel free version? Watchmaker faces have some great bezels but including theirs and ours makes it cluttered and the dial too small.

Just want to add my 2 pence as this forum has been very helpful for me.

1st day the watch was charged up to 96% (the most it gets to) and lasted less than 10 hours with pretty minimal use. Updated to the latest build number that evening.

Following day I got roughly 16 hours use from it, with a bit of playing.

This meant 2 full drains and overnight charges. Since then, regardless of what I do I always have around 30-40% left by bedtime. I usually put it on at 8am and take it off at 11pm so a good 15 hours. It then has around 20% battery by the morning so a full 24 hours and I stick it on charge before leaving the house.

This includes using the watch for 1-2hours of workout, controlling my music and receiving loads of notifications throughout the day.

The watch looks awesome. It's so easy to customise the faces to suit what I'm wearing and unless up close most people don't even realise it's a screen. Its great in a swimming pool too although the screen isn't fantastic when wet, it's still better than Apple Watch.

I do have tons of blocked apps. I essentially have the watch flag up messages, whatsapps, calls, Facebook messages and a couple of others. I don't really want to know that eBay has just dispatched more crap that my girlfriend has bought or anything.

I am using OS and besides a couple of drop outs the watch has remained paired (I've had to close down the app on my phone and reopen and it's been fine, these dropouts have occurred when connecting my phone to a Bluetooth speaker or something). I haven't been able to download maps but haven't felt a need to as I don't think I'd likely use it but it doesn't appear in the play store and I'm too lazy to find a work around. No dropouts from wifi yet and it seems to automatically update android wear and google play quite regularly overnight.

The flicking the wrist to get the display on is a little clumsier than Apple Watch but I can keep the display always on here which is great (I can't remember if I couldn't do that or it just affected the battery on Apple Watch).

I do have Mega skinny wrists for a man (please no jokes) and even with the rubber band pulled as far as possible the watch is slightly big for me. My heuer-01 fits perfect so I imagine this is the 45mm size of the watch as opposed to a 43.

I don't miss a heart rate monitor (I think they're a little gimmicky, they're a great idea in terms of safety etc but I'm a doctor and far too many times my Apple Watch read 100 when I was flat out with at least 180bpm). I do think replying to texts is a nice idea again and I had began to use it on my previous watch when the phone was left in a locker or my car but it isn't the easiest and is time consuming. Answering the phone on my watch was only ever used to show people how much like James Bond I am and was never actually useful really. The trade off for proper water resistance is worth it for me.

I think that's everything. I haven't used ADB debugging as I'm happy with battery and I am going to try and sort watchmaker app out for it at some point now I know the battery is ok without it. I will be making a YouTube video soon to review it so I'll post in here and you can all give me 0.0001p by watching it please.

All in all, it does almost everything I'd want it to. It works well enough with iOS and is only going to improve so I'd never consider changing phones (even though my 6s is the most temperamental phone I've ever owned I much prefer the user interface of Apple so I'll wait for the 7s). It looks great is more of a proper watch than a gadget!

Enjoy

I really wish I could replace the Connected with the Modular 45. After reading the reviews makes me feel like switching to a modular 45. 🙁

Yes, that is annoying for me too. Some of the fan-made equivalents from WatchMaker can eliminate the bezel on touch. Wish the factory faces could do the same.

I would like to share some experience.
If I leave the watch at home, after 15h it was still at 67% charge.
But when I wear it, with tilt to wake on, I only get 15h. The reason is that I use a PC all day and I found out that tilt to wake is too sensitive and turns on a lot when on the keyboard.
Do you know if there is a way to make it less sensitive ?

I mentioned this earlier in the thread. Actually wearing it makes a difference. How many times have you calibrated the battery?

Every day since I have the watch, the battery is empty at the end of the day.

You may go to the display settings and switch off the always on mode. But again the watch is sensitive to your movements. Cheers
