First run after update lasted 22 hours, 7 of which were in sleep mode, minimal use other than as a watch and checking notifications, but everything switched on.
When charging mine still stops at 89%, and have to take off and put back on to get to 100%. Have done reset of watch from within settings but still happens. Does anyone know if reset instructions above do any more than hitting the reset button in settings? Tx.

I have done the full reset as instructed by Tag and Watch is now completely flat so gone on charge overnight. Will update tomorrow

A few quick observations 36 hours or so after the update.

Performance appears to be speedier and more lag free.

Also encountered issue of charging being stuck at less than 100%.

Found a potential bug where the Clear all notification option is still present even though I had dismissed all notification. This clears up upon restarting the watch but is a bit annoying.

Battery drain also appears to improve. Can comfortably get through a day with screen always on, wifi/NFC/Bluetooth enabled.

Overall, the update brings more polish although probably could use a few more optimizations to really please watch owners.

I confirm the above statements :
Watch is more responsive
Charging stucks at 97%
Battery can last from morning until sleep time. Most probably not 24h

There is a bug with the timer. If you don't dismiss it properly (i.e. Click on the cross) then it doesn't stop ringing. I had to restart the watch to make it stop.

I think that at this price tag, they could / should work a bit more on these issues.
Early buyers curse !

My battery wouldn't go past 96% overnight. Keeping it home today to see what the level is at later. If it's not good then I give up and returning it. Put cash towards the JH Autavia.

I've said it before but this is appalling from such a reputable company. How can they release a watch without thoroughly testing that it functions properly. It's not as if it's a cheap throwaway. Beyond belief.

I have told Tag of my disappointment, wanted a finished article and unfortunately the usability is letting it down. Build quality is of the level I expected but the parts Tag haven't made are letting it down (software)

No to belittle the problems some have reported, but let's recognize that every new device and electronic gadget is prone to have issues on launch. From what I experienced on my own two Connected watches, and from what I have seen from other members, the initial build appeared to have been pretty solid; this is what I imagine, was what TAG Heuer would have tested and approved to launch.

From what I can see on these posts, the notable issues reported appear to be related to system "updates", which I doubt TAG Heuer had a direct hand in their validation compared to its partners. Could Google and Intel have done more and do better moving forward? Without a doubt.

I just humbly suggest keeping some perspective and exercising some restraint. As fanning the flames tends to be destructive instead of what we want... a constructive path moving forward.

Paying £1500 for something that doesn't work properly needs the flames fanning. I really wanted this watch but am prepared to buy it even though it doesn't have a speaker... but not while it had these issues. My £350 Gear S3 has performed perfectly from its launch as did my Moto360 and so should the Tag.

As did my Apple Watch.

If you want to launch the worlds most expensive smart watch then it should bloody well work as advertised from day one.

If I promised someone something in my job and it fell short of quality due to the software I used, the buck stops at me. Sure I could complain to the software company, but that is down to me, not my customer.

If you purchased a sparkly new Sony 4K TV with all the bells and whistles but after plugging in, half the bells and whistles are lacking or missing, I sure wouldn't sit back and say to myself, oh it'll be alright later this year when they update it.

And the watch costs more than the tv.

I can't help but compare to Apple, both premium quality products. Never had an issue with Apple watch at all. I'm sure people did and Apple will have resolved. I have just given my feedback to Tag that I am disappointed in the functionality, the watch is lovely, well made and of a quality that justifies £1500, the software doesn't.

I have had a reply from Tag and they have told me that Google are aware of the watch not charging to 100% and are working on an update. In the meantime I have been advised to try removing the watch from charger and then force charging by reconnecting it.

I also only got to 97% charge but found that taking the watch off and putting it back on the charger got it up to 98% but that's it. Took it off once more, switched ADB debugging on and got to 100%

So now they're trying to blame Google. IT'S YOUR PROBLEM TAG - you sold the watch without proper and exhaustive testing.

While TAG Heuer is the one selling them to us, they've always been upfront that this is the culmination of a partnership; Google does the "software", Intel does the "electronics", and TAG Heuer does the physical -non-electronic- components before performing the final assembly.

Unless one was part of their development teams or have inside information, the allegation of improper testing cannot be substantiated. Especially when the primary issues being reported, appear to be rooted on the software updates.

If Support is saying that Google is working on the problem, I take them at their word. Based on what has been posted, it is my impression that Support and Customer Service staff appear to be acknowledging the issues, while taking prompt and responsible actions to address the concerns.

I would agree with this but have returned mine as I was on my last day of being able to do so. I am disappointed and already miss the notifications but it's just a big outlay for me on something to not work as expected. I do think they will iron out the issues and customer service appeared to do all they could but at the moment I think my money is better invested elsewhere.

We need to keep balance, but as a partnership some of the issues around the battery should have been identified imho before release given the premium price tag. I do however agree that their customer service over the issues to date has been excellent. My charging has improved from stopping at 89% to getting the same bug as others now, charging to 97%, so glad the developers are on this. My watch did however freeze for the first time today at a point when not in any real use, needing me to switch off and on to work again. I am hoping this is not another sign of things to come. I am holding on that a great product will emerge once teething issues have been sorted....

I am confident the software issues will be worked out. We got to take into account that Android Wear 2.0 is "new" and a major overhaul compared to the previous 1.5.x generation.
