I trimmed my rubber strap-- on the tag site, there's a template, they will trim for you if you send a measurement when ordering.

Good to know. Still not sure how I feel about a watch of that value needing to be 'trimmed' to fit though, if you put it on the biggest setting and then imagine the size of the person wearing it...

Yep, just got the message here in the U.K. to update as well, so on charger now. Was getting around 17-18 hours so will see what we get once updated!

Update done, got the Heuer 01 Watchface. Google maps still not running correctly (paired with iPhone 7).

Update done. Watch seems noticably faster, and so far at least battery drain is much lower < 5% according to wear battery stats (an older and more sophisticated battery stats monitor on Android, click the link to check it out)

Applying update on mine. Here's the last benchmark with the original build. More benchmarks with the new build to come.

Hello.

I could add my experience with the watch. (Paired with an iPhone)

The battery seemed descent, about 55% after 10h receiving some notifications and casually looking at the time. Note that since it wakes up from idle on the wrist move, it probably switches on a lot of times during the day.

But what I had noticed is that once I had opened a "heavy" app like google maps or Uber, and went back to the watch, the seconds hand was unresponsive and hoped every second and sometimes every 5seconds.
Also the wifi connection was very slow

Since the update, the seconds hand is smooth, always and wifi connects fast. I have to check battery life

I charged overnight but noticed it only went to 96%, I tried removing charger and trying again but could only get up to 97%. After 2 hours though i'm still at 91% so there is hope. I've turned off my instagram notifications as these appear to be what killed the battery yesterday.

Since Fridays update my watch now only charges to 97%, if you enable ADB debugging it charges upto 100% so I guess the problem that the new update is susposed to address isn't quite fixed properly ..

Mine did that too. I switched off the wifi on when charging. Now charges to 100%

I have noticed that 20 hours is pretty attainable so long as you use it as a basic watch. Once
You start messing, changing faces or using apps, the battery drains far too quickly. Is that a software glitch? I don't think so, that's a battery issue.

On the basis all their video promotions are '24 Hours with the Connected 45' I'd say it HAS to be a bug...unless they casually ignore the 2-3 hours you'd need to be charging it at some point during the day!!

Surprised TAG haven't got this right, such a great company and this is not up to the standards any of us would expect.

On another note, anyone here think the strap is a little long? My wrists aren't that big admittedly, and I have the brown leather strap and it's pulled as tightly on the clasp as I can get it. There must be some customers out there with big arms!!
Yes, I have the same strap, and have to force the clasp as far as I can, doing that the strap fits fine. My wrists aren't big, but not particularly small either.

This happened with mine yesterday but I put down to instagram notifications. I have just been asked by coustomer services to do a resetting procedure and run to 0 then recharge overnight

Don't fancy resetting. Spent a week putting watch faces on.

I know, not overly happy but have done it as I have not changed a great deal on mine and can put the couple of apps back on easy

What's the reset procedure? Just in case I need to do mine...

1. Press and hold down the power button until watch restarts (about 10 seconds)
2. During the boot up animations (TAG's logo, Intel's logo, or the flying bubbles), press and hold power button and at same time, swipe from top left to bottom right, then release button
3. Wait (about 10 seconds screen will blank) until you reach the recovery picture (green Android character on its back with a red triangle with "!").
4. Long press the power button for about 3 seconds. You should see the "Android system recovery" menu.
5. Short press the power button twice to go down the menu to highlight "wipe data/factory reset"
6. Long press for 3 seconds to select "wipe data/factory reset ".
7. Short press the power button until "-- delete all user data" appears and is highlighted.
8. Long press for 3 seconds to select "-- delete all user data"
9. Wait until back to previous screen. "reboot system now' should be highlighted
10. Long press for 3 seconds to select "reboot system now"
11. Watch will restart to the Welcome screen. This will take less than two minutes. User will need to re-pair the watch to their phone.
Once the above has been carried out please can I ask you to allow the battery to run down to 0% and then re-charge the watch fully and leave on charge over night.

Can't you just select reset in settings?

I'm having the same issue (9% now) ... I would wait a few full charge cycles (drain to zero so watch shuts off, before doing a reset.

It was not uncommon with software updates on earlier watches (Moto360 v1 and v2) to have to do this kind of thing.

Otherwise I'm sure we'll all let Tag know loud and clear (and we should)
