Greetings,

I keep reading about issues with the finishes on the bezel/watch. Can someone clarify- is the Titanium finish also a problem or just the Aluminum?

Thanks,

G.

Yes. Mine was scratched all around (at the start it actually looked like leftover sticky from the protective plastic that was on it) on the bezel even before I took it out of the store. It's a nice little circle about midway through the bezel (THe protective plastic that was on there didn't cover the whole bezel it covered the outside part of it, the scratch is exactly around where the plastic stopped).

I wanna try and get a new bezel or smthg, the black/ceramic sounds better than ever now. Wish I'd bought that. (Note, my buckle is scratched up something NASTY too...again when I bought it and it seemed at first like it was just leftover from the sticky plastic that would wash off eventually).

I think both the titanium and aluminum bezels are fragile and quite easy to scratch. The hardest and more resistant bezel is the black ceramic (and the black buckle is also more scratch resistant than the titanium buckle)

Yikes. I have a brand new Titanium that I have yet to set up. I am can still return or exchange and am trying to figure out how big a problem this is. It seemed from one post that you can have a replacement bezel installed if this does happen?

Thanks for responding.

Best,

G.

Hi. I've asked this question directly to the Connected team at TAG Heuer. Both the Connected 41 and 45 are still being made are very much part of the TAG Heuer range.

What is changing is distribution- they are being pulled out of the general retail channel and going forward will only be available from TAG Heuer Boutiques/ online.

I believe it is the decision of the brand importer which operate the “official” boutiques in Indonesia.
Because when I visited boutiques in HK and Singapore, they still sell TH Connected and their accessories.
But it was a very big words to claim that TH Connected no longer in productions

I have heard exactly the same this week from a jewellery shop in Charlotte/NC as i was looking to purchase the Calibre 16 analog module during my stay. The retailer stated that they did not hold any TH CM45 stuff anymore as it was now sold only in TH stores.

hi everybody,

I have CM45 almost a year old .Ceramic bezel fell down this morning. Is anyone faced same issue? Did they replaced watch or sticking the old one? Since there is no official TH store in the country, I will go to official distributor's service point. Your quick response appreciated

Thanks in advance

Another member here had a similar problem 🤔, and his watch was repaired by TH (two years warranty): bezel replaced, not the full watch

And I think this other member just repaired/glued it himself:

Thats sad. If you are not under warranty...i suggest to glue it together... a thin layer of black sillicone would be perfect. Gasket sillicone.

Victor Reinz Chemical Gasket Reinzoplast (80ml tube) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006QY3CM2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_UbJvCbQ6Q139Y

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Würth-Super-Silicone-200ml-Grey/dp/B010XW9CQW

One of these or something similar will be perfect. Maybe better than original agresive.
Thanks, still in warranty. Will visit distributor's service point tomorrow.

Its just sad that something like this can even happen to a high-end swiss made timepiece. Hopefully Tag has quietly made some adjustments to the manufacturing process here...

Update of the Connected App for iOS solving the connection issues and adding ability to edit custom faces in Tag Heuer Studio on the phone.
There are also Watch App updates: connected and Connected Timer.

I was going to ask about this. I have iOS and I can't connect to the Tag Heuer app at all. It doesn't see my watch and I've verified both blue tooth and wifi connectivity.

Same issue for me. I’ve restarted the phone and watch..toggled airplane mode how the support page says and nothing..

Not really willing to reset the watch since I have dozens of watchmaker faces.

This app doesn’t connect with the watch when you are wearing a WatchMaker face. Try again while wearing one of the factory installed TH faces

It is funny, but after update of the app I have the same problem. Now I, ve tried the following steps and it helps:

1) Go to Google play on your watch,
2) Select the top left tab “My Apps”
3) Tap on the Tag Heuer connected App
4) select “set the watch face” tab (I have Russian language, so the tab name may differ)

After this the app downloads TH watch face. And then in my case the mobile app begins to work.
