Agree with all of that. I think the year ahead will see many an update which will tempt new customers as they fill the void even more, given the price increases pushing others into different price brackets.

Agreed. They are attacking the Tudor bracket & good on them. Would love Longines to get back to their heyday (pre WW2) they were one of the top brands.

I really like the new Hydroconquest GMT. If the they go that route for the diver I’ll be interested.

I wear my Garmin for Cycling and Walking, etc and don’t tend to wear a watch when washing the car or DIY, so it will be just because I like them rather than the true toughness reasoning.

I do agree that the Square is a bit boring perhaps, but I just really like the design. Plus the point for me is to be different to my SeamasterAquaracer/etc when I do switch. Having an analogue G Shock would seem daft for my requirements as could just wear those as not switching to stop damage, etc.

Leaning towards the Eric Haze version at the moment, but the new Carbon one looks excellent too, as does the MRG line albeit going way up in price at that level.

I know people think the MRG is daft, as the movement is same cheap module as in those from about £500 up, but the same can be said for my Aquaracer tbh.

In that case buy what you like. They have enough cult fans which will buy second hand if you don’t gel with it.

Indeed. That new version is superb!

That’s true. MRG is probably a bit harder to move on, but the mid level stuff is probably fine.

My comment from over in OF = ::puke:: (i.e. I would have preferred literally anyone else to resurrect it)
LOL

Well, at least we can finally look forward to someone releasing heritage watches with designs from the past. And if dinky donk approves you know it will be a hit.

Next to the Seaweed Seamaster - this could be my favourite. If only they made it available for the public.

Looks like the dial from the Ceramic version fitted to the SS case?

Think it’s mat finished and faux indices (BB58 esq). Definitely in my top 3 Seamasters.

I remember when we all first saw renders of that. It was super exciting - especially since I had not found the NTTD enjoyable - until we realized just how crazy limited it is... boo.

Turns out the standard ceramic dial is super awesome and the date is so well integrated it's barely noticeable. Love my black dial and don't see much need to make a switch, unless I get my hands on a Summer Blue and find I don't need both!

I agree. I remember the hype around the Swiss Army version on OF (basically the same) https://watchbase.com/omega/seamaster-diver-300m/210-30-42-20-01-003

Also agree on the date is well excused on the Seamaster. The seaweed green is still my favourite oddly. Did try the summer blue one on recently and it’s nicer than the standard blue. Although lumed bezel which I’m never a fan of. Seems to microbrand for me.

1 became available direct from Casio, with my 20% off code accepted too, which wasn’t supposed to work on these 40th Anniversary models. Website now updated to stop this being accepted, but they honoured it without question in fairness.

Being a big fan of Forged Carbon, plus wanting to get a G Shock Square for a long while, was a perfect combo.

I get that it won’t be everyone’s taste in here, but I am really enjoying it so far, switching it up vs analogue.

Here’s some photos showing it look plain solid black in some light and then swirling Carbon effect in brightest light.

The non articulated first two links on the metal versions put me off, but these are fully articulated and wear perfectly.

My main take away from this was when did Danial Craig turn into a University professor.

Omega not crushing it then. They’re literally going to the Moon instead. Period end.

Is Longines crushing Omega too? Wow times sure are changing. Perhaps Omega will become popular with true watch collectors now then if they are no longer popular with the mall watches mainstream

Nope. The opposite. They are way beyond crushing it, they are so good that they’re heading to the moon.
