For those who own, have worn, or merely tried on…what do you think of Panerai and why?
Love the layout with the sandwich dial on my Radiomir, this one being 42mm, handwound and having the beautiful Mediterraneo colour was what made me go for this one, haven't seen any other Panerai which could compete with it. The Luminors are a bit of a turn off with the crownguard IMHO.

I actually like the Submersible Blu Notte but the price makes me rethink things, especially after reading Perezcope and others already.

Saw a guy wearing one in Tenerife last year and it was epic looking!

I love that one. I prefer the radiomir to the luminors. I haven’t owned one, but can defo see me doing so in the future.

goos also to see that they are doing more watches in smaller sizes, although some would say that defeats the point of a panerai.

Why aren't we talking about this? Epic tale of shenanigans and skulduggery... with Andrew carefully ripping Philips a new one.
Ridiculous that Omega would pay 3m for this in the first place to be honest.
Theo and Harris also did a video on this, if they are to be believed, apparently Perezcope used to be a Philips employee but he left when they ignored him calling out fakes - what a superb company, who wouldn't trust them???

Perez states (on his blog) that he worked as an outside expert for Philips (in direct contact with Aurel Bacs) but chose to end the collaboration when they repeatedly ignored his whistleblowing.

That said: Methinks that everyone who’s spending seven-figure money on a watch that does not have a cast-iron provenance (a.k.a. comes from the original buyer) needs to have their head checked anyway… 😉

Omega is teasing a Seamaster reveal for June 27th, possibly the 75th Anniversary model (or models). 😗

It is the Seamaster and there are pics of it on most other forums .looks like a fume blue dial.

looks ok - doesn’t blow the socks off

This is what @stevec14 is refering to:

Thank you sir - yep, that’s the one.

I’m wondering where they are going to price this given there is no difference to the normal Seamaster aside from the dial + solid caseback.

Short version, guy takes a Rolex into an AD for a bracelet repair.
AD says it will have to be done as part of a service.
Guy isn't happy but agrees.
Not happy with the bracelet repair, complains and eventually sues the AD for the cost (1500 Euros)
Court finds against him, but asks why the watch needed to be serviced as the bracelet is separate to the watch.
Court eventually finds against the AD and they have to refund him the cost of the service plus his costs!
Bloody good thing if you ask me.., imagine taking your car in for a new door and being told they'd have to service the car at the same time.

Yes I've seen it thanks.

But as I had mentioned on the previous page of this thread, I have some doubts about whether the "fume" dial image is the "official" 75th anniversary piece or if it's just one of many Seamasters that Omega might be releasing this year. Similar to the many Carreras being released for its 60th vs. the specific panda model.

Hence I was providing an update, as we now have a date. I'm curious to see if its really just the blue fume dial or whether there's more.

I like it a lot and it's on my wishlist. It be funny [more like sarcastic sad] that I've been waiting for the Bond 60 for months and this may actually arrive first, but we'll see what availability is like.

Great, hope you get both sooner rather than later.

I'm on a list for the Bond 60 too, but will most likely pass if my turn ever comes up. The SMP300M is a terrific watch, but one is enough for me.

I'm really hoping that Omega does a vintage 60s inspired Seamaster, similar to this reference.

I’m interested to see how that advertised (recently leaked) Seamaster is going to look.

I wish I could say the same thing, but clearly I cannot. 😗😁

Really dig your NTTD, @Mspeedster.

Nothing wrong with that. Like they say, there is no such thing as too much of a good thing.😜

Thank you, right back at you with your green Seamaster. 👍

Thanks, @Mspeedster (and thanks for the help when I was considering the green). I switched from white to green tonight, and it’s on the wrist now. 😁
