Love it, but no, not going to be replacing my BB58
Look how thin that is. Very un-Tudor

Hadn't seen that - it is certainly a lovely side profile.

Yes I noticed that too. I bet it wears very similar to the Heuer 1000, which is great for my wrist.

Yep, the more I see it the more I like it. The dimensions look great, despite my initial reaction being that it would wear small.

you can configure the Daytona new model with a black dial so it’s not discontinued. Not sure why no pics of it to be honest.
Yeah, it's odd that only the white dial is shown in all the PR for the new Daytona in stainless steel. But the black dial does seem to exist as well, here's a pic.

Yes, it's on Rolex's display.

Of course the watch making the biggest news is the one most won't be able to get. I've been wait listed going on close to 9 years now... 🙄

I know this revolutionary update has been mocked in many circles, but I think the small tweaks have made a huge difference. The design just looks much sharper now…I would have personally chosen full colour subdials rather than the rings, but it’s all irrelevant anyway as I’ll never own one!

Agree, I think this really catches the eye now. I’m tempted to put myself down on the waiting list, maybe a 90th birthday present to myself😁

Don't worry Mate...99% of people won't get one.

Does anyone want me to put my name on a Rolex list for them, don’t want one but could pass it on? They could blacklist me but it would be irrelevant.😝

I tried this on today, it’s fantastic on the wrist. Feels very vintage, like an old sub I will never get to touch. I probably won’t be trading in my bb58, but if I didn’t own it already, I’d buy the 54.
Haven't tried it on yet, but feel the same way based on what I've seen.

About as close as an average Joe can get to replicating the vintage feel of ref. 6538 (aka the James Bond Submariner).

I like a number in the Tudor range, but the link to Rolex stops me as I really detest the way they artificially keep stock in low supply.

I get that it’s sound business sense, from keeping the desire, but still annoying.

The real issue is that there are more Tudor’s that I like than Rolex ironically.
