Hi all, can anyone tell me what colour the watch face will be?

Many thanks.

Hey mate - black / charcoal face. Depending on what renders you look at it seems it could be matte or have a slight sheen to it? Definitely doesn’t look like a black sunburst dial to me though. Subdials look dark grey / dark brushed aluminium with a bit of a sheen to them as well. Hope this helps!

Brilliant thanks! I was kind of hoping for a blue model. Maybe brighter than the current production model or closer to the original. I guess it’s the used market for me 😀

Does that mean both the 4 & 5 models respectively are 'black' face? Thought they would've gone for a blue one considering it's THE McQueen one.

Co-incidebtly & i hope no-one minds me asking. Is the blue hue on the current Calibre 11 Monaco different from the anniversary blue Monaco (forget the reference but has steel case back)?

I don't think I've seen anything that says 5 is "the McQueen" one. Each one of the 5 celebrates design cues from different decades, that's all. From the leaked pic, 5's dial seems more of a dark grey rather than black. Also 4's finish is a flat/matte black, while 5's is not flat/matte.

I don't own either the CAW211P or CAW211A (40th Anniversary), but from what I've read and seen in pics, the shades of blue are slightly different. There's also slight differences in size, the red on the hands and the rectangle around the date.

For me, everything about the CAW211P is fantastic except the colour because it just doesn't pop like all the previous blue-faced models (including the CAW211A) and that's the only thing that has stopped me buying one.

So another "non-blue" 50th Monaco is a disappointment, even though I do love all the colours in this series so far.

I reckon number 5 will be Black sunburst dial with some kind of bead blasted matt case.
Unsure about the subdials..........

I think you misunderstood. I read @fgoulding's post as meaning that (s)he thought that at least one of the five 50s would have had a blue dial since the blue-dialled Monaco is the McQueen watch, not specifically that watch #5 was going to be blue-dialled.

The 90’s edition is the closest to the McQueen I guess - the colours are just reversed. At least it has some blue in it. The rest not so much.

Yup, one of the reasons I love the 90's edition.

But if one is hoping for another Blue McQueen, there's still the rumored CAW211J that has yet to be revealed (or leaked). Not saying it's going to be a Blue McQueen, we don't know what it will look like. Don't even really know if the rumor of this additional Monaco being released this year is true. But one can still "hope"...

Thing is though, the regular CAW211P is a pretty close reissue of the 1133B. Not sure how they can differentiate it unless they redesign the case to fit round pushers, but then it would probably carry a different model designation than CAW211_
