I removed the image, since it's still supposed to be hidden.
The thrill of having a countdown gets extra good when Tag themselves leak high resolution images on the actual countdown site. Bravo ::facepalm1::

Look, the internet thingy is really hard to get right.
and countdowns ... well there is just so many scenarios to deal with and things that can go wrong... like hmmm which way do you count... up or down and how fast does the counter go etc etc. You can see how things can go wrong now eh ::facepalm1::

For the first time, the countdown on my phone matches the notebook, so hopefully they got it right this time.

I believe that the launch of the 00 Monaco will be in Tokyo, Japan next Tuesday.
Was told this by a boutique in Tokyo.
Didn’t seem to know if it was in conjunction with any other event etc. No F1 happening there for a month but the Rugby World Cup starts tonight but not sure if it’s go any connection to that.

Anyway, not long to go now.

Interestingly I was told that the 00 version has nobody on the waiting list to take it. A sign of the lack of interest in this model it seems.

Seems like the countdown timer has jumped again, now showing about 3.5 days away. Making it some time on Tue Sept 24 (US time).

Wasn't this version @Hubert 's original favorite? Before switching to the '80s & '90s.

It was indeed. Not sure if I will get one though. As I am waiting to learn if there will be additional heritage pieces (Carrera or Autavia) at the end if the year.

Stay tuned- Tuesday 24 September 14h00 European CET
Since TH already had two launch events in Europe and one in the US, I'm guessing it might be in the Middle East or Asia. But I think it's a little too late at night for Japan or Australia/NZ to hold an held event.

I don't know if my bank account can handle another big purchase this year. But if TH came out with something super special that I just couldn't resist (e.g. a round pusher 1133b re-edition), I'd dig deep to make it happen.

I doubt a 1133b with round pushers will happen anytime soon. If TAG Heuer had a heritage director looking to do faithful reeditions, like Omega and Zenith are doing, maybe that could happen, but the brand has been no where near that approach in years.

Seems the 00's Monaco 50 is at the Singapore F1 GP. Someone posted a wrist shot of it on Instagram #tagheuermonaco.

So I looked, didn't find it... but I did find this:
Anyway, regarding the 00's Monaco 50, IG user @angelangelong posted it 4 days ago. It's easy to miss, since the watch is in a mix with 4 pics posted as one.

^ The peripheral contour of the subdials bothers me a bit.

Without the contour the subdials would blend with the minute ring. Bamford’s design is a lot better in that respect:

I also like this ‘A-Team’ Monaco they posted a couple of weeks ago:

Need a close up of the dial to judge better. But overall, I think I'd take the hourglass40 over this Monaco.
