Thanks @Hubert ...
I'm sure my shrine pales in comparison to the "Hubert Holy Heuer Temple"
As others have said, I seem to be collecting to open my own TH/Heuer museum. 😵‍💫

Love the Helmet. Special Edition ?

It seems that there were two styles of helmet made with the HEUER logo on. I sourced them both from Japan.
As Hubert has mentioned previously, they are not road legal in the US so are not available over there.
I have seen them on display in the Tag Heuer boutiques in Japan and Hong Kong before and they were for sale in a great little retro focused motorcycle shop in Japan called Motorimoda http://www.motorimoda.com
Not sure if they were ever available in Europe or not but they make a good centre piece for my "Shrine"
I use them for riding also so they are not just for display.

They cost me about €300 but have seen some people listing them for ridiculous amounts ($3000 US) on Ebay.

Does anyone happen to know how much they’ll be asking for the rumoured box set?

It would have to be in the AU$40k-$50k bracket given the RRP of the first one.

Yep I heard 5x the single watch value. Around $45000 AUD for the lot I heard.

the one that was announced in the forum is already reserved and now there is another one in Chrono24, curious that the few that have gone on sale come from the UK market, it will be a country where more pieces will have arrived

Does anybody know how many came to the UK ?

Nor I.

I've resigned myself to the knowledge that my deposit won't translate into an allocation.

I'm sure the feeling will pass, but right now I'm a little annoyed. The 50th win models were absurdly limited. And a large portion of the anniversary models are put aside for 50 ultra-rich collectors. What is up with this allocation policy?

I was not attracted to the anniversary models just because there's only 169 of each. Just as I would not be put off from buying if there was 10,000 of each. I don't care how many other people have the same watch as me. Exclusivity be damned. I just want to be able to buy the one that I want.

There is an inherrant exclsivity brought about by the price of a Monaco anyway. And the anniversary models are not that much more expensive than the regular models. So why not just make enough to fulfill demand? TH would get more money and there would be more happy buyers.

Yep this is crazy double edged sword. I think this could have been solved by having the 50 box sets numbered separately. Bringing the 169 already short numbers to 119 seems a bit silly. Did you have deposits on any of the other decades that might yet work out? I suspect Tag might have thought it would distribute the 5 models across the customer base but some will be more popular than other etc.

10,000 between the worlds population would still have made them pretty exclusive, either that or a special model for every five years rather than ten to spread the love a bit further.

You would think so but I don't think they would have sold all those.

1000 would have been a better number
